Review summary

Allure will benefit greatly from the long overdue amplification that was postponed due to the pandemic. However, this was still a very fun and enjoyable ship and cruise. There are plenty of activities and entertainment options for all. Entertainment was very good. The performance of Mamma Mia was one of the best we've seen onboard! The dining was not quite as good as in the past due to the changes in menu offerings. There were many port excursion options, but the Western Caribbean ports leave a bit to be desired compared to many other ports.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
We were greeted by a long line outside the terminal. The line moved fairly well and once inside the terminal the embarkation was much quicker.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
There have been noticeable changes in RCCL main dining room offerings. Some of the long-time favorites were missing from the menu.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The FlowRider staff was excellent! They spent extra time with young and first-time riders and made the experience fun for all. There were multiple options onboard for enjoyable activities for all ages and abilities.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows, musicians and entertainers were perhaps some of the best we've seen.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
One of the most outstanding things about the cruise was the dedication and commitment of the staff and crew. Without exception all did an outstanding job!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The Allure is ready for it's overdue amplification that was postponed due to the pandemic. The ship is still very nice but, it is starting to need some upgrades and refreshing to keep pace with other ships.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The layout of the cabin was not one of the best we've seen. Access to the closet was tighter than many cabins we've had in the past due to the placement of the bed.
