Now I know I prefer smaller ships. I like the ocean experience, and this is not it.

Food and Dining

The food overall was awful. The little cup custards in the Foodjammer come right out of a machine. I had a bite of what they called strawberry pound cake that was the worst thing I have ever tasted. The foodjammer overall is so poorly designed, with no flow and crowded conditions its best to be avoided. On such a big ship you would have thought it could have been made a bit more roomy to get around. The best thing was the salad and french fries. The food in the main dining room was not good, bland and tasteless, just poor quality all around. Something I would expect if I were in the Navy or on a Cargo ship. If RC is going to have any dress policy at all they should follow it. On formal nights folks just marched right past everyone in shorts and flip flops. Not a word was said, I did ask a main waiter who asked me to show him where I was seeing the policy. Which I did on RC website. I think a lot of people enjoy formal nights and dressing up for main dining. To me it's part of the experience and is ruined when the dress policy is not enforced. If I ever go on another RC cruise I just parade in the dining room in my tank top and thong or mankini.
Onboard Activities

We went in January so the zipline and florider were never busy which was great. Never used the pools they were to crowded. Why they kept the same size pool areas on a ship 3 times big as say Rhapsody Ill never figure out.
Entertainment

Aqua show was cool cancelled twice due to the slightest ship roll. I heard Mama Mia was great but did not attend. Went to Jazz on 4 great musicians, gal singer had a one note range.

All were the best except head waiters who just seem to stand around and do nothing. We finally asked our waiter what they did and guess who appeared to ask how everything was.
Ship Quality

We wanted to try a big ship experience and won't do it again. There is virtually no place to see the ocean when walking through the ship. The walking/running track is on deck 5 but views are covered by lifeboats. There is no place to go and sit peacefully and drink a coffee in the morning but the pool deck. Central Park was hit by a freeze and everything was dead with the exception of a few half alive Christmas poinsettias which should have already been removed. I understand the freeze but I felt cheated as they could have put something in the beds at least. The cigarette smoke from the Casino on deck 5 right near the dining rooms was terrible, it seemed to go all over the ship yet another reason to have an outside door from the casino to the deck to get rid of smoke. You could smell it as soon as you stepped off the elevator.
