Overall, this was a very special and fun filled adventure. The New Year's Eve experience was phenomenal. The crowd was a very international one. No drama just overall pleasant fun for everyone on the ship. It is a huge ship and we never once noticed that we were even on the ocean. In closing, I highly recommend the Allure of The Seas or any of the Oasis class ships.

Ship Quality

Very clean and great layout. A few areas were just a bit worn down (refurb time).
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
This cabin overlooked the promenade (faced Sorentos). Noise was faintly noticeable. I would highly recommend.
Ship tip
Try to book reservations all your shows on the first day as soon as you board. Otherwise you'll most likely be put on the stand by list.
Unfortunately for us it was a very stormy day when we arrived so no running around Galveston. However, I would highly recommend strolling around the Strand.
Extremely friendly port. The beaches are beautiful (we did the Playa Mia excursion). I highly recommend the beaches or any other excursion first, then shop a bit with the local vendors.
Short of taking an excursion not much to do in this port. We opted to take a taxi to Mahahual. Not exactly a great experience. You'll be approached a million times asking if you need a massage. If you do, do it.
We did the West Bay excursion. Absolutely beautiful beaches and great food. People extremely friendly, and low to no pressure selling. If you're into mahogany type of tableware (bowls, etc), you'll find many vendors on the beach. Negotiate, negotiate, negotiate and you get quality merchandise at a great value,
