Review summary

This cruise was the ultimate vacation. Everyone on the cruise were friendly and cordial. It was a family atmosphere. There were people from all ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds. They also had activities for same sex couples. The cruise was a judgement free zone. I enjoyed being with my husband and we have already booked a cruise for my 60th birthday next year.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

The Windjammer was excellent. They had a variety of food. I loved that they provided healthy fruits and salads, indulging desserts, international flavors dishes, as well as fun foods for the kids (including the kid in the adults).

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I pretended to do the rock climbing. It did not look difficult. There were staff members to give you a quick lesson as well as to assist you while you climb. I was brave enough to go on the zip line. It was exhilarating! I would do it again. It was totally safe. The staff helped me put on the gear and the instructed me as I journeyed across the ship. I went to the gym every day except the last day. There are plenty of machines as well as cleaning stations. I saw staff members assisting in maintaining a clean, safe, covid free environment! My husband and I played basketball and table tennis.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I went to the comedy shows, the comedians Greg and Graig were hilarious! I watched the amazing Ice Games Show. I thought that the skaters were exceptionally great as they danced, flipped, twirled and played pranks on one another all while ice skating. The (Broadway) production of Mama Mia had me dancing, singing, clapping, and laughing in my seat. I didn't want to get up to go to the bathroom because I didn't want to miss anything! It was that good. The finale...breathtaking!

Children's Programs

I did not bring any children with me.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The waiters, room stewards, and ship personnel all went above and beyond the call of duty. If I could give them a million stars, I would. They were outstanding. They also entertained us.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The layout of the ship is appealing to my curiosity and taste. Our stateroom was cleaned and sanitized twice daily. The staff were constantly wiping and cleaning throughout the ship. Upon entering the dining areas, guests were reminded to wash, wash, wash your hands. It was done in song and I felt great about complying.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was cleaned, sanitized twice on a daily basis. We were pleased with the king size bed, and the sofa in which to sit and read or watch television. I loved sitting on the balcony watching the sunrises and sunsets. It was also nice to sit and watch the serenity of being on the ocean.

Ship tip

I bought a lot of pictures! I spent about $800. I recommend not purchasing portraits until the day before the end of the cruise where you can buy a package. You will get more cluck for your buck. I could have bought two packages of 100 pictures for $249 each and saved money. I would have also received more pictures. I'm impressed with the quality of the pictures I purchased. My thoughts are that I made a memory and one can not put a big enough price tag of a great memory. Whenever I look at the pictures, I relive the experience with a gigantic smile on my face.

I was able to leave at my scheduled time, collect my luggage, have my face scanned through customs and walked out. It took about 15 minutes.
