Food and Dining

Overall the quality and the presentation of the food, especially for dinner, was disappointing. We ate all our meals in Coastal Kitchen and it was compared to the meals on our other Royal Caribbean cruises simply not good.
Unfortunately non of the speciality restaurants were, according to the suite concierge, able to accommodate guests with celiac disease (strict gluten free diet). Therefore we had to cancel our reservations. It was the first time in all our cruises that we were not able to go to a specialty restaurant.

Ordered breakfast once, was nice to sleep in a bit and enjoy breakfast on our balcony. Food quality was subpar.

The shows were hit or miss. We and most other guest did not like the comedians. A lot of guests left halfway through the show.

Cabin / Stateroom

I really wish that the one who designed this cabin would stay in it for a week!! I think we never had as uncomfortable as this one. The suite is oddly shaped and small. Very limited closet space, especially for ball gowns or suits. To open the closet door you have to close the door to the bedroom because they block each other. The balcony is divided into two smaller balconies and you are not really able to see the Aqua Theater. Note: only this Aqua Theater Suite on Deck 14 has the divided balconies, all other are larger wrap-around balconies.
Rented a car from Advance Car Rental Curacao. Huge shout-out to Celestino. Car was in very good shape and super clean. We met with Celestino outside the port. He gave us a map in which the had marked all spots worth visiting and all spots were programmed in the navigation. There was also an emergency mobile phone in the car. If you want to rent a car, you should do it with them.
We visited the Flamingos, the Hato Caves and the Bas Abao Beach Club (6$ per car, 3$ per beach chair). Again some awesome snorkeling and the caves were spectacular too.
Toured the island on our own, which is very easy with a bus pass for 10$. Went to Arashi beach for some awesome snorkeling. Beach was not overcrowded and very clean.
Hard to believe that the Allure was not up to par. Love love love that ship but hi guess with Covid anything can happen. We were on in November 2019, before Covid. It was wonderful!
