We usually do a lot of ports but this one was only 3 ports and one was cancelled. We enjoyed both of our ports and would have loved to do Curcao but Aruba and Haiti were great. I had such a good time at Haiti I would love to go there again.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Check in was great. I arrived about 30 minutes before my scheduled time as I was in a suite and could arrive up to 1 hour before or after my scheduled time. Check in was quick and easy. The easiest ever.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We didn't eat at any of the specialty restaurants and only ate a few breakfast buffets and one lunch buffet. We ate all of our evening meals in the main dining room and Imade and Felippe were excellent waiters. The food was really good and the experience was even better.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We didn't participate in a lot of the activities but we did go to the adult pool and hot tub a few times.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Mama Mia was an excellent show and we really enjoyed it. DSB, the Journey cover band, was excellent as well. They sounded just like Journey. The comedy show was pretty good as well.
Children's Programs
I didn't have any kids with me.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Elda our room steward was excellent. We didn't see her much but our room was always clean, fresh towels, and beds made whenever we left. Imade and Felippe were excellent waiters. They figured out quick what we wanted and always had it for us and made sure we had everything we wanted.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was clean and while there were a lot of people onboard it never seemed to be that crowded.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our cabin was great. There were four of us in our cabin and my wife and I slept in the bedroom and my daughter and son in law slept on the couch and they never complained about the bed once. It was very comfortable and was clean and worked well for us
Ship tip
Get the suite. The suite amenities are worth it on this ship.
We have been to Aruba three or four times and the last three we have done the trikes by Aruba and it is a blast. They also have a great t shirt shop if you like to get them to take back.
A lot of people were worried about this port including my wife but once she went she loved it. We had a private beach for suite guests and they took good care of us. We also did the Alpine Coaster and it was a lot of fun. We ended up riding it about 4 times.
The only problem with disembarkation was when we got down to our luggage it wasn't all out yet and we had to wait until they finished setting it out so we could get out luggage. Not counting the wait time it took us about 2 minutes to get down to the luggage, pick up the luggage, walk through customs, and get a taxi. Very, very, very quick and easy.
