Review summary

This was a very average cruise and won't plan on cruising again for a while. Covid was very much an issue on this cruise and not much was done to encourage mask wearing in crowded venues. Entertainment options at night were limited and the main show - Mama Mia - was cancelled for the week.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food experiences were good especially in the Dining Room each evening. After a several days, the buffet experience started to feel lacking in variety. Nightly pizza was very good.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Not all that much to do if you are an older adult.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
The entertainment options during this week were very limited. The main headline show - Mama Mia - was cancelled and no other show was substituted. Entertainment was very disappointing for the week.

Children's Programs

No children with our travel party.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward was very good and friendly. Our waiters in the Dining Room for the evening meal were very good and got to know our nightly preferences for drinks.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

Nice cabin with balcony and good size for 2 people.

Ship tip

Wear a mask in common areas. Covid was rampant on this cruise especially as the week went on. Four out of the six people in our travel party tested positive for Covid within 2 days of the cruise ending.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Oranjestad, Aruba

We did a 4 hour excursion that was good.

Willemstad, Curacao

4 out of 5
We did an excursion but went a little long because we spent 2 hours at the aquarium. A better option was to take a quick tour and have time to spend walking streets on our own.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

4 out of 5
We spent one day at Coco Cay. It was nice and plenty to eat and good places to lay out and swim.

So sorry this happened but did the people in your party keep masked as needed?

Obviously cruising isn’t for you yet. You need to wait until Covid is all gone. We aren’t wearing masks anymore
