Good cruise, not much to do on excursions if not physical. Mostly, scuba, swimming.

Review summary

Would not do Costa Maya again, Maybe Cozumel. Ship was ok, but as of yet has NOT been upgraded to include the on board activies advertised on commericals. Been on other trips 6-7 days is right amount of time to be on the ship.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
very well organized

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining was good, Windjammer, ok, didn't do specialty restaurants due to cost

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
pools ok, not as large as I was expecting, a lot of chairs, NO slides, which we were expecting on this ship, no virtual reality, no escape room, no flying, NO cupcake making, NO sushi class.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
shows were cancelled, so made getting into our shows(which we made reservations for) impossible. Missed several shows

Children's Programs

Children did not participate

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was very good,

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
ok, not as much shopping as expected.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
We had 2 mobility scooters and were not able to get a disability cabin, so it made getting around a little tight. but we worked it out

Ship tip

Make sure you check ships for the ports of call and the activities on the ship before booking a cruise

Ports of call

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

3 out of 5
not much to do if you are not mobile. They made us turn our excursion in telling us we would not be able to see the ruins, so our grandkids were not able to go either.

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
swim with dolphins, but they charge excessive prices for pictures and do not let you get close enough to get your own. To get a picture it was $35ea

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

3 out of 5
oasis pool was a large pool, food was good, if you don't spend $100 p/p no rides or anything to do for the kids. Everything was an extra cost

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
self disembarked. was fine.

Sorry your cruise wasn't what you expected. But a little research before the cruise would have revealed that Allure has not been updated due to covid. We're going to be on Allure in July and will miss some of the upgrades the other Oasis class ships have. But we'll make the best of it! Try another Oasis ship and you'll definitely get the commercial experience! Happy cruising!
