It was quiet then usual, but went well under the circumstances. The whole ‘covid’ thing was no different then where I am from. Had to wear your masks inside, wash hands, social distancing, to name just a few. The service was over the top. I don’t think I have ever tip as much as I did this trip. All worth extra money spent. The workers really wanted to make a good impression. Word of advice, get your covid shot. It eliminates a lot of extra hassles and gives you peace of mind.

Food and Dining

I enjoy that fact that they serve you personally at the buffet. Servers have no problem with portion size either. I would rather be served then thousands of people touching the serving utensils. In the past, I have observed people coughing in their hands and then touching spoon!yuck

Everything was great, but the pool experience. Royal needs spruce-up the music. It is so so bad. Very mellow, as if they want people fall asleep. Maybe I am on the wrong ship, but the atmosphere was boring. I know that was the biggest complaint with other cruisers. This is our 9 cruise with Royal, so I am able to compare it to other experiences. The DJ wasn’t good or the live band. The DJ on the private island was the best. He had people from all ages laughing and dancing! He needs to be put on the ship.
Entertainment

Not so much, but understandable! There were a lot of missed shows do to pandemic, such as karaoke, newlywed game, quest, Aqua show, to name a few.

There are not enough words to describe the service, it was exceptional!!!! We were treated like royalty. We were constantly asked if we needed anything. The crew went above and beyond. They all were so thankful for sailing again.

I am a clean freak!! The crew was constantly sanitizing areas. I never felt so clean and safe from Covid!!!!

Problem with interior window looking over Central Park, you need to keep your curtains closed majority of the time. If not, you will have people across from you looking at you. No privacy
Megan’s bay used to be quiet and somewhat private. It has turned into a ‘public beach’. The customer service was rude and short. They could care less of your needs or concerns. We witnessed a customer explaining something and was cut off. Customer continued to politely explain something and the worker continue to cut him off. It made for a very uncomfortable situation for not only us, but other cruisers!!
The best part of the trip!!!!!!!!! Royal could of stayed there for the week. So much better than any other port. The music and environment was awesome. It truly was the only time we saw people really having a good time. People from all ages were drinking, singing and laughing. To bad it was the last day of our trip. I told the dj he needs to play on the pool deck. The servers were awesome. The food shacks provided a variety of food, such as mozzarella sticks, Greek salad, funnel cake. The place was well maintained too!
