Review summary

This was the first sailing for Allure since returning to service due to the pandemic. It was also our first sailing on Allure. We were definitely spoiled by having so few passengers onboard. We loved the ship and would definitely sail on her again! We had a fantastic and relaxing time!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We had the ultimate dining package. We ate at 150 Park, Chops, Izumi, Sabor, Giovani’s and Samba Grill. Food was fantastic at all restaurants!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Outstanding! Many of the crew members have not been onboard in over 16-18 months so they were so glad to be back onboard and working.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
There were crew members constantly sanitizing high touch areas as well as tables and chairs immediately after guests left the table. The whole ship was spotless!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had an ocean view balcony. It was extremely clean. Our cabin steward was outstanding!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Fast as there were only about 1200 passengers onboard.

We were at around 3,000 passengers for the Mar 2020 transatlantic crossing on the Allure as Covid was blowing up.... It felt pretty empty even then. I can't even imagine half that! Lol Oasis are definitely my favorite class.. by far!! 🙂

So jealous. I love the oasis class ships, have sailed on Oasis and Allure. I didn't mind the full capacity sailings. I can only imagine what is was like with 1700!

Thanks so much for the review. We'll be on the Allure August 29 and can't wait.

Sounds like a great trip.

Sorry folks-my husband said we had 1700 passengers onboard not 1200. Still a fraction of what the ship can hold at full capacity.

Jjenw- We didn’t have anyone test positive on our cruise. Everyone older than 12 had to be vaccinated and everyone had to have a negative COVID test, including vaccinated up to 3 days before our cruise. You can check out royalcaribbeanblog.com. He has all the updated info on how Royal is currently handling any positive cases.

Greenbay2018- I believe we paid $50 a day. It varies by sailing. I think for our upcoming Mariner cruise we paid $52 a day.

Thank you for the review! We are booked for Allure in March. Wondering how things go if you test positive during the cruise. We should all be vaccinated but I know some still test positive that are vaccinated. I have heard that if you test positive you are let off at the next port and have to find a flight home? Do you have any information if this is correct? Hope you guys had a great time! Thank you

Thanks for your review. Can I ask you what did the drink package cost per day?
