Review summary

We had a nice time except food was not great. I am not one of those people that complain very often about anything. I just was not impressed at all this cruise when it came to the food. Food poisoning did not help my experience either. The other thing that bothered me was the lack of communication from the Captain we had 24 hours of rough sea. He never let us know what was going on . Definitely poor communication . Other than that the cruise was nice, super friendly staff and we enjoyed the ports.

We ate mostly in the buffet and Chops. Comparing to my previous cruise . Food on Allure was pretty disappointing. Same thing over and over. Desserts weren’t even that great.How can you say that about sweets. The ice cream was really good , though. Chops was pretty good . I had lamb chops and they were cooked perfectly. To top it off, I got food poisoning one night.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

I was not impressed. I do not have young kids. If you do , this is perfect for them. I though the beach chairs were much to close. Lunch was really good. In fact my daughter and I commented that this was the best meal all week.

You gave one star for getting on the ship , but said it was very good ? Also I have to agree with a lot of others in that you should have gone to the MDR to eat.

I agree with everyone else. The food in the MDR is amazing! Why go on a cruise and eat at the buffet every night? You should have gone to the MDR to eat and you would not have had any complaints.

I can't imagine why people eat their dinners at the buffet! The meals in the dining room were fabulous on Allure last April. The best meals we've had so far on a cruise ship. We met a family that ate at the buffet for the entire cruise and never even tried the dining room. Unreal!

Sorry you did not like the food. We were on same cruise and were very pleased, but only went to buffet twice for lunch. Seas did get as bit rough since it was windy but did not think it was rough enough weather for announcements. Hope your next cruise is better!

We were just on the Allure in November. We went to MDR every night for dinner and it was absolutely delicious. There are so many great places to eat on the ship and you pick the buffet???? Maybe cruising isn’t for you. Also, you didn’t like CocoCay. I’ve never heard that before. Everyone loves it. So yes, you are one to complain. Plus you picked the itinerary!!

I traveled on Allure with my family and only did main room dining. It was terrific!!! Next time you should definitely try the main room dining. You will not be disappointed.

Out of the places you could eat on this massive ship why would you continue to eat at the Buffet? Makes no sense....this is your own fault so why complain and give a poor rating? Sorry you supposedly got food poisoning perhaps it was the bad weather.....any case Allure has more to offer.
