Overall it was a good cruise. We had some great family quality time. It was just very different from past cruises.
Embarkation

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Main Dining room service was spectacular. At times our food came out warm not hot. It wasn’t as good as when I went in the past.
Samba and Chops were wonderful!!!
Drinks were awesome as long as you have a drink package...way to expensive otherwise!
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
Pools were too crowded. Couldn’t find a pool chair because many people would come claim a group then go to breakfast and whatever else. I watched one family put stuff on 8 chairs right by the pool to reserve them then they put stuff on 8 chairs on the deck above. They came and went all day. Most of the time only 4 chairs were being used at a time. They were yelling from deck to deck to each other. Ruined the relaxing time for us.
The hot tubs were great when there were not a ton of teenagers in them acting like fools. The adult one was full of teenagers and kids all the time. This should be monitored more closely. And the age should be 18 and up not 16 in the adult one.
Not enough for teenagers to do.
Entertainment

We enjoyed the different things in different lounges.
Children's Programs

I have teenage boys. They did not enjoy the “teen club” said it was boring. Many of the activities planned were canceled in the evenings. The flow rider line was always forever long. The arcade was crazy expensive. It would be nice if we could buy an arcade package so they had something to do.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
I can’t say anything bad about personal service. We loved everyone we came across. Everyone was very helpful.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Yes. Very clean and well maintained!!
Cabin / Stateroom

It was small but we knew it would be. Having a Pullman bed made it more comfortable so my teenage boys each had their own space to sleep. We spent so little time in our room so it was perfect for what we needed.
Ship tip
If you want to get deck chairs, get up very early and put something on them to save them or you won’t get one.
We snorkeled and went to the beach. They were ok excursions but the locations of both were not wonderful.
We did snorkeling which we had to walk 20 mins to get to but then were in a tiny little area with barely anything to see. My boys enjoyed it because they had never snorkeled before but it was really nothing special. The staff there was great though.
The afternoon beach excursion was just ok. As you can see by the picture below we were taken to a beach where boats were anchored very close to shore. This was our view. I didn’t want to look at boats...I wanted to look at clear blue ocean. We didn’t even get clear blue waters at all. When I asked why it was so cloudy I was told the anchors churn up sediment as the boats rock...never clear when boats are around.
Not enough to do when there are so many people. Teenage boys had all day (8 hr) passes for the thrill park. They were done in 3 hours because they were tired of the super long lines and rude people. People cutting in line. One person standing in line saving a place for their 6 other friends...happened more than once.
We loved our cruise on Allure. You went during the busiest time of the year and seem shocked it was crowded. You can rebuy arcade credits to save money.
