Review summary

Great ports, Interesting Ship, not the best service. I think they may have outdone themselves on the size and being able to hold up the typical RCCL service on this one.

Embarkation

2.5 hours to get on the ship with status and a suite? Ugh!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food had to be sent back a couple of times for being cold, room service was wrong literally every day (we finally stopped ordering it).

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The water show was amazing! The ice show was alright. The blue earth show was just downright weird.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The bar tenders in the Schooner bar actually made the cruise far better.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
I think the ship was too big for them to keep up the level of service we're used to from RCCL.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was great, we spent more time in here than we usually do.

Ship tip

If you expect a certain level of service from RCCL, you may be disappointed on this one.

Ports of call

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
Rented a car, drove around, found a nice quiet beach with less than two dozen people and enjoyed it!

San Juan, Puerto Rico

El Yunque was gorgeous.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

4 out of 5
I really expected them to be doing drink service and never saw anything other than a beer cart go by. Beach was gorgeous.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
I don't understand how getting off and going through customs was easier than getting on! Off in 9 minutes... on in 2.5 hours? Crazy.
