Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Wind Jammer was very good, but always very busy and sometimes long lines. The buffet by the Solarium never had a line, good food but smaller and not as much of a selection. The kids loved Sorrentos pizza where they could just walk up and get a slice. I didn't eat at the hot dog stand, but others said it was great too. Drinks were amazing, loved the daily drink special. Highly recommend the drink package. Only complaint would be that there weren't many of the pop stations, and some, like in Wind Jammer, would be closed. Made it difficult to take advantage of the pop package for the kids, I don't think that was worth it. Littles loved the ice cream machines, I think they ate too many!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Good stuff, we basically hung out on deck 15 with the pools and sports court for the kids, they lived there! Most took advantage of the Flow Rider and zip line, everything was fun. Arcade was a rip off, and you couldn't tell how much on-board credit you had, so at $2.50 a pop, I would not let the kids have charging rights just because of that fact. There should be a separate card for the arcade, we gave our kids on board credit and had no idea if they used it.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Live music was great, a lot of variety, shows were excellent. Diving show and Love an Marriage were the ones we attended.

Children's Programs

We didn't attend any

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The servers and room staff were the best part of the trip, they really took care of us and made the trip basically. Tip them well!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean and you can tell it is a priority. All the kids kept singing the "wash your hands" song...

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Room was small for a party of five, but to be expected. Our first time, but I don't think I would ever go on a cruise and not have an ocean view. It was amazing. We got a birth (bunk bed) for our 8 year old, paid extra, it came down from the ceiling, but he never used it and just slept in the big bed with my wife and I. After the second night, we asked to stop putting it down because it just got in the way and our other kids, sleeping under it on the pull-out couch kept hitting their heads on it.

Ship tip

No downside to taking Dramamine if you get any motion sickness. I could feel the boat moving on the lower decks for sure!

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

5 out of 5
Just got on the boat, but it was easy getting on.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
Took a cab to Maho beach, then back to the beach by the port. We took one route over to Maho, then another route back to the bay, got to see the whole island. Sunset beach bar had good appetizers!

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
Loved old San Juan. Lot of good, safe walking and shopping. Visited San Cristobal fort - 200 years old! The little market on the way to San Cristobal has great local arts and crafts. Wonderful few hours here.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

3 out of 5
This is Royal Carribean's private island. There was a storm the night before, so a lot of trash and sea weed washing up on the shore. Kind of gross. The additional charges to do anything were outrageous and need to be reconsidered. The fact that it was $20 per kid for an hour at the aqua park was ridiculous. Food was great, drinks were easy, restrooms were everywhere. Good stuff other than the trash and additional charges.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Getting off the boat was easy, but Miami airport is an absolute mess. Think about 4,000 people all getting funneled out to one area under construction...

We go on the Alllure in November. How about more info please. It’s probably the largest ship we will have been on. Any tips and suggestions for shortcuts to get anyway here. Our cabin is on the 11th deck Boardwalk Balcony. Thanks
