Review summary
The boat was nice - Lots of bars, restaurants and activities. However, the food was not great and RC charges outrageous prices on drinks and dining at the extra restaurants. We paid an average of $13 per cocktail (and they were weak) plus a service fee of $2-4 per drink PLUS was asked to tip on top of that. To eat at one of the restaurants a family of 4 would pay about $65-125. The buffet food was terrible and the desserts were horrible. Service was average at best, as we sat at the tables covered in dirty dishes and went 20-30 minutes without drink refills in the formal dining room. We have cruised Carnival and Princess and felt they are a MUCH better value for the money. We were charged almost $500 gratuities at the end of the cruise and that was WAY more than RC deserved considering the food and service. In addition, the pool areas are nice (fresh water pools are great) but it's so crowded you cannot even more around. Loungers are laying side by side with little room to even walk. The buffet is also very poorly laid out. Its mass chaos in the buffet area. We walked around several times for 10-15 minutes just trying to find a clean table. For the extra money RC charges, service and food should be way better. We'll stick to Carnival.Embarkation
