This was mine and my husband first cruise so I have nothing to compare to. The cruise was ok. Our cabin was quite warm and stuffy during the evening hours and early morning. Food was hit or miss.

Review summary

Cruise was just ok. Ship way too large. The food was hit or miss. The main dining room food was good most of the time. The restaurants you pay for were very good. The help always outstanding. From housekeeping to waiters and everyone inbetween.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The buffet was just buffet food. Nothing outstanding. Just food to feed the masses.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
I enjoyed the bingo game.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Attended the ice show. Was just ok. Nothing outstanding. Also saw the Planet Blue Show (I believe that was the name) A lot of the audience fell asleep (including my husband). Very dull and boring.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone on the ship was wonderful.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

2 out of 5
Not enough chairs for everyone. The food at Labadee could improve greatly. The chicken and ribs looked very unappealing. Hot dogs and frozen patty hamburgers. I guess it's hard to feed the masses (just like the windjammer)

chadley77 everyone is entitled to their own opinion and has their own experience. We sailed on the Allure in May and it was ok. Ship is beautiful. We like Disney and NCL better.

What do you expect when you book a cruise on a big ship?? You should do your homework before you book a cruise. As for the restaurants, try cooking for that many people and making everyone happy.

All of it is a matter of opinion, personal preferences, and individual experiences. Yes, the ship is crowded, look at the size of it. For my husband and I, we loved Allure and Oasis and can't wait to cruise on Harmony. We have no complaints.

It is one of 3 large ships. We went 2 years go on the Oasis. We had a blast and are looking forward to our cruise o the Allure

I agree ship is too large and the safe in the cabin is way too small. Having to schedule shows in advance is a drag. A vacation is meant to be relaxing, not rushed. MDR food was good but not impressed with specialty restaurants. Burger at JRockets was overcooked and dry.

Sorry you didn't have a good time, Oasis was just the opposite for us
