Review summary

We did a back& back cruise with NCL Getaway and had the chance to compare RCCL Suite Class and NCL „The Haven“. Although this was our 7th cruise with Norwegian and our first with RCCL, I have to admit that RCCL convinced us from the beginning to the end. We experienced great service and wonderful staff which was not so good with NCL. All in all we booked our next cruise with RCCL...

Embarkation

Embarkation was very quick. We were on the ship in no time and port agent was the most friendly we ever had!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate mostly at Coastal Kitchen and it was just wonderful. Our daughter has celiac and has to maintain a strict gluten free diet with zero cross contamination. We emailed with the Concierge in advance and the prepared everything for us. The Maitre D’ and the wait staff went above and beyond. We never had such a wonderful experience in all our cruises. Unlike other cruises you do not have to preorder the gluten free food the day before. They have a separate kitchen and do the orders when they are placed. We also ate at the Churrasceria and it was very good and worth the extra money. The chef took care of our daughter and they prepared some of the meat with different seasoning to make it gluten free. She had no issues during the whole trip!

Onboard Activities

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff we encountered was just wonderful. Starting from our room steward to the waiters, bar staff and the concierges. All were very friendly and helpful. We always felt welcomed.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
We loved the open design of the ship. This was our first cruise with RCCL and we were just overwhelmed by the ship’s decor and layout. It was very clean and never felt crowded.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was good, very spacious with a large balcony. In my opinion RCCL should get rid of the shower curtains. Everything in the cabin was very well maintained and spotless clean.
