Overall I had a great experience on Allure of the Seas. While the weather was not typical of what we have encountered on our cruises this is out of the control of the cruise line. I thought that the staff did a great job with the activities inside and there is so much to do it more than made up for the inclement weather. The staff and crew were great and we met some great new people. I was away from home and work, enjoying myself in the Caribbean. I was blessed to be able to go on this trip and try to see the positives in my experience. I am looking forward to my next cruise aboard Allure of the Seas and would definitely recommend this ship to others.
Embarkation

Embarkation -- After we got out of our Uber at the terminal we had a smooth process of finding a port attendant to take our checked bags. We then went in and the process through Customs and the RCCL check in process went smoothly and quickly. I believe from the time we got dropped off until we got on the ship was less than 20 minutes. Amazing process.

Our dining and beverage experience was outstanding. Our 2 waiters Tulus and Preroy did an outstanding job during dinner service. They took care of any requests made by those at our table and they were passionate in their effort to take care of any concerns. The food was good and I was pleased with the meals I chose throughout the week. The beverage experience was excellent as well. The bartenders and servers for the most part were very engaging and did a great job. I was pleased with the quality of the beverages as well. Overall a good experience with both our dining and beverage experience.
Onboard Activities

While on the ship we took part in quite a few of the activities like the Trivias, Fitness Center, etc. I really enjoyed the staff in the Fitness Center and took part in 3 spin classes while on-board. Unfortunately due to the fact that the weather was not great for a majority of the week there was not a lot of opportunity to take part in poolside events, rock climbing, or the zip line, however, I look forward to trying them on a future cruise. I thought the staff did a nice job with the activities given that the weather was not what we have typically encountered on a cruise.

I thought that the service and staff were outstanding. Our stateroom attendant Jean was great. He was friendly and engaging and always asked how we were doing and what we were up to. He did a great job and it was great getting an opportunity to get to know him throughout the week. The waiters in the main dining room were great as was the ship security as we left and then got back on the ship at the various ports.

While on Allure of the Seas the advice I would give someone is to take advantage of all the activities, shows, and all that there is to do on the ship. I would definitely say it takes 2-3 times to really experience all of the things there are to do on this ship. Definitely looking forward to trying some new activities on my next cruise on this ship.
Didn't do an excursion but checked out a local brewery and then went to Senor Frogs and hung out with some friends. Had a great time at Senor Frogs. The staff was great and very entertaining. We also met some new people and overall had a great time.
Enjoyed another great experience at Mr. Sancho's. Although it rained for an extended period of the day, the staff was amazing. The pool was heated so there were actually quite a few people in it while it rained. The bartenders Jersy and Andres were excellent as was our waiter Martin. Looking forward to a future visit to Mr. Sancho's.
Had a great time in Roatan. The weather was excellent and had a great time aboard the Jolly Roger Catamaran and Snorkeling excursion. I enjoyed checking out the reef while snorkeling and the crew provided lunch and drinks as well. On the way back the crew played party music and did some dancing activities that were a lot of fun. On the way back to the ship we met up some friends for a few beverages at a bar just outside the ship and had a blast. Overall a great time in Roatan.
We did an excursion at Maya Chan. The resort has a nice layout and is very relaxing. Not as much of a party atmosphere, but very relaxing and I enjoyed my time here. You can do kayaking, paddle boarding, and snorkeling. They are very up front about the water and beach due to the sea grass. The service was unbelievable as was the food. They provided made from scratch tortillas and tacos, and was amazing how fresh the food was. If you are looking for a place with great service and food and to relax this is the place.
@mbr101358, @CaptainGMan and @renaedave.... appreciate the posts. Yeah weather wasn't the best due to Alberto, but we made the best of it and had a great time. Looking forward to going on Allure again in October. Truly is an awesome ship! 😀
