Review summary

I would defiantly do RC again and again! They know how to make your experience wonderful! This boat was the most beautiful boat I have cruised on! Loved it!!!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Getting on the ship was very smooth and pretty quick, we had a big group of 19, and we were all checked-in in about 20-30 min. They really have this down pat! I believe having all your paperwork filled in before you go really helped us getting through so quick.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We were really surprised at how great the food was! We ate dinners mostly at the main dining room and were not disappointed! Our server Jesus was so great! He always brought out other dishes for us to try. Our favorite place to eat lunch was at Park Cafe in Central Park. The salads were awesome and the roast beef sandwiches were very good! I was so surprised with over 5000+ people on board, there was never much waiting. (If we were short on time, we always checked the electronic monitor by the elevators and it tells you the occupancy level at all restaurants and we could find where the least amount of people were.) Breakfast was about the same foods everywhere you went, but go to Johnny Rockets if you can, they seemed to be the best, and they served fresh OJ at no extra cost.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Our group ranged from 10 years old to 77 years old, and it seemed there was always something for everyone to do and enjoy! I really don't think we made it to everything there was to do on board. But we were always having fun and loving it! The first couple of days we went to the 16 and over pools which was less crowded, but by day 3+, more people also discovered this and it was too busy. If you wanted a chair by the pools you had to get out there real early!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows were great. We really enjoyed Mamma Mia and Ocean Aria, I wouldn't miss those. Blue Planet was not our favorite, but entertaining.

Children's Programs

Personally we didn't have kids with us, just nieces and nephews. They seemed to have a blast with their activities.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service and staffing on Allure of the Seas were very friendly and helpful!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship design was so beautiful! We would always make a point to walk through Central Park or the Promenade deck.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was not as small as what I have seen on other cruise lines. I liked the layout of our cabin. The closet was a great size and the shelving was great! We also loved that we got ESPN in our room (It was the Masters weekend and the NCAA basketball finals!)

Ship tip

I would bring towel clips to hold the towels in place on the chairs at the pool area. (It gets kinda windy) Always use the electronic board by the elevators to find out what was going on and where to go.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
The vendors are very pushy on this stop. We did a snorkeling excursion and it was great!

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
I liked this stop, vendors not so pushy. We did a bus tour with Shore Fox and they were great! Shopping, site seeing, and beach. Lots of loud reggae music and fun!

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
This was my favorite stop! Loved the beautiful waters and the people were very friendly! We hopped on the water taxi and then had to get transportation to Sunset beach. We ended up on their public transportation (which was very safe and friendly) and the driver was awesome, he also just waited for us (just 1 hour on this cool beach.) I think the the whole bus trip was $6 a person roundtrip (without the tip). Loved loved St Maarten!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarkation was smooth and easy. It took a little longer but not too bad ( I think about 45 min). The waiting time would have only been 10-15 min if we had downloaded our passports to an app on our phones. We used RC valet service, it was the best $50 spent! ($25 for each bag.) We didn't have to do a thing with our luggage until we got home and picked it up. Everything was safe and sound! (We had 6 bottles of alcohol in our bags).
