Review summary

Overall we found the Allure of the Seas to be excellent --but I think I prefer a slightly smaller number of people on the ship-- 6,000 was a bit much and it was at capacity-- I like the size of the Anthem of the Seas better and the Liberty as well. Royal Carribean never disappoints however-- so if you are looking to cruise based on a specific 'line' -- I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Royal Caribbean!

Embarkation

They really have this down pat -- very organized and we didn't have to wait very long at all!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food overall was excellent-- Best dessert was the warm chocolate cookie with icecream on evening. Our table was #334-- Marlon was our waiter for most of the My Time dining and he did an Excellent job! My only slight complaint was We ordered steaks medium rare twice and they were more on the well done side, but still tasted great!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Just make sure you sign your waivers before you board the ship-- makes it go faster-- The Florider is always great! Glad they had two of them on this ship. I do wish they'd offer more FREE aerobic classes such as TurboKick, dance or YOGA for FREE.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We really enjoyed the show Mama Mia-- it was excellent-- the dancing, the singing all great! The diving show was terrific as well! Love how the water platforms go up and down-- amazing! We also really enjoyed the Comedy acts when they did their smaller private comedy acts --

Ship Quality

yes!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
We dedided to go 'cheap' and got an inside cabin for 4 adults. It worked out fine for us becaue all we used it for was to take showers, sleep and get ready for dinner -- but it's not for people who feel crammed and confined in small spaces-- because it DEFINITELY is small!

Ship tip

We had the 'my time' dining and they sent us away the first night stating to come back in an hour and 1/2. This was the very first time this has EVER happened to us on a Royal Carribean cruise-- we left and explored more of the ship and came back after about 35 minutes. The Host did find a 4-top table for us and we were able to eat. Make sure if you have a show to go to that evening that you give yourself plenty of time to eat before-- sometimes the kitchen can be slow.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

4 out of 5
They told us that Uber drivers were no longer able to drop off people at the Ship Dock area at our hotel-- it was still a very good exprience there.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
Love the fact that we did not have to ferry or tender on to the Island this time!

Great ship with the neighborhoods, carousel, zip line above open center of ship, we went to all the shows - reserved online before the cruise - and they were great. My favorite ship so far!!

A lot of times on Allure and oasis you can go from an interior room to a balcony for like 100 bucks per person more. I do a lot of shopping around on prices so I’ve noticed this a lot.
