All in all this was a great cruise, the ship was absolutely massive but you didn't always notice the crowds. Sometimes it was hard finding a beach chair since every person seemed to hold chairs with towels but that was probably the only issue we really had other than the NAPA group being on board.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
The embarkation was fairly quick and painless. As soon as you unload your luggage someone is there to take it for you (make sure to put your luggage tags on in advance). We managed to get through the line ups pretty quickly, I think the whole experience was maybe a half hour!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The food and the drinks were great, there were tons of variations. I do wish that some of their drink menus were a little bit bigger as its always fun to try new drinks.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There were so many pools on this ship! I was actually surprised to see how roomy the ship was with so many other guests on board. The rock climbing wall was a blast as well. The zipline was a bit deceiving though, it is very short.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The ship had a fair amount to offer but make sure you reserve everything in advance. There happened to be a group of 1400 NAPA employees on board and NAPA happened to book everything for these people. It was very frustrating because they would not allow anyone else to reserve certain shows, you had to hope that someone wouldn't show up so you could take their spot instead. Very poor planning on Royal Caribbeans part as I think they would have had plenty of time to possibly add another couple of shows to cater to more people. We talked to others on the cruise and they were also very frustrated with this.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Some of the staff weren't as friendly as others but maybe they were just having a rough day. There were plenty though who always greeted you with a smile. Some of the bartenders even started to remember the drinks that we liked and would start making them as soon as they saw us walking up.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was very clean all of the time. If something fell on the ground any cruise member would pick it up, it was not to be left on the ground. The ship design was also fairly well thought out.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We had an inside cabin so of course it was on the smaller side, it was well laid out for its size and there was a decent amount of cupboard space for your things.
There isn't really a port here, you walk off the ship and down the boardwalk towards almost a flea market setting and then once a little beyond that you are right on the streets. Some of the streets were fairly dirty with garbage all over but others were nicer maintained.
You can still tell that this port has suffered from the hurricane as there were still pieces of building missing and there were shops being renovated/restored. We did an excursion and went snorkeling with some turtles and checked out a ship wreck. It was a lot of fun and they were very informative on their surroundings.
This port was beautiful! There were still a couple shops closed up but for the most part everything was fixed up and very well done. We did the accessible island tour and it was a lot of fun. The staff were very friendly and also very knowledgeable. We received information on the history of the island and learned some other fun facts.
Misskaitlynrose....we were on the same cruise & saw every show. I reserved our shows in advance. All the entertainment was good. I started asking the staff by the towels for extra chairs & they always accommodated so we didn’t have an issue getting seats by the pools. We found the NAPA cruisers to be fun!
In all fairness, I learned on Ship Mate to reserve our shows in advance.
Sorry you missed some of them.
