Review summary

It was our first time on a ship like this. It was very different from the ships we have been in before. Unless we were on Deck 15 and above I didn't feel like we were on a cruise ship. I felt like I was in a town. I imagine that is the point they are trying to make. I guess it just wasn't for me.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
We only ate in MDR on Thanksgiving food was just ok. We did have breakfast one day in a MDR my eggs were cold and the 2nd set were Luke warm...not impressed. We had a lot of room service and enjoyed Johnny Rockets and Park Cafe had the best food of all.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Bingo, Quest Game show and Casino. My youngest did Zip line and both boys did Flowridee. We could see the aqua show from our balcony but did not go to any other shows.

Aqua show was nice

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Our cabin steward was great. The lady bartender in the casino was very short and at times rude very unpleasant. I did not feel the staff went out of their way to be helpful at all. Deb the bingo girl was nice. No one even spoke to us as we disembarked the ship, it was very strange.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
It was very humid and hot in lobby areas and on elevators. Ship was very clean things were easy to find loved the electronic maps in the elevator areas. A lot of the phones I tried to use in lobby areas were broken.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
I would have given our cabin 5☆ but we were without a working phone for 3 days. Our kids were in a different cabin on a different deck so not having a phone was awful for those days. Loved our cabin. Although shower was small.

Ship tip

I would not recommend early dinner if your ports don't get u back on ship till after 6pm because you'll miss your dinner and the Windjammer is CRAZY when that happens...

Disembarkation

No one spoke as we were disembarking so much so that we walked right out without getting our LUGGAGE!!! We ended up instead of leaving the port at 730 having to wit until 11am till everyone disembarked and our LUGGAGE was scanned and finally given to us. It was a nightmare.
