Fortunately, I don't get motion sickness, but GIL155 is correct. There are a lot of factors at play when it comes to the sway of the ship. Oasis class ships generally provide a fairly smooth ride because of the size of the ship and the stabilizers that they use. As annagomo stated, there are days where you will tend to forget that you are on a ship out in the ocean. There are times when I can feel the ship moving, but since I don't get motion sickness, it doesn't bother me like it might bother those that are more sensitive to the sway of the ship. At night you will sometimes notice the movement when it is quiet and you occassionally hear the clanging of the hangers in your closet as they bump into each other. I have always thought that you feel the swaying more the lower you are on the ship. My sister went on her first ever cruise with us recently on Harmony and was extremely concerned about getting motion sickness. She bought the patches that you place behind your ear and experienced every side effect listed on the box! She took the patches off and tried no medication the last few days and felt great. She now wants to do another cruise minus medication 😁. It all depends on the person as to how the sway impacts them and how much they notice. I am so glad that you had such a smooth sailing!!!

Glad you had a smooth cruise. So much depends on seasonality and storms (which cruise ships try to avoid).

I keep reading all the great reviews and I have to wait until February to experience all the Allure has to offer. Thanks for adding to our excitement
