Review summary

Beautiful ship. Great pools and activities. Great entertainment. A total mix of population meant that nothing felt very crowded (except Labadee). Good food and accommodating dining room staff. Friendly crew.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Would have liked to have had a wider variety of healthy or maybe even "spa-like" choices to choose from. A lot of the food in the buffets did not work for a person with dietary restrictions. I am a vegetarian who does not eat dairy and I found the signs at the buffet did not give full information so what I ate was somewhat restricted. I did speak to the chef in the buffet on my first day, but doing that at every meal was very time consuming. In the main dining room the staff was fabulous and would just bring me food that would meet my dietary needs.

Children's Programs

My children were somewhat lukewarm on the programming. If they don't want to be there, the program isn't much use. Also in the evenings, the late night (for $) programming started at 10 which was somewhat early considering the dining schedule or the show schedule. Would have appreciated programming running until 11 and then starting the late night ($) programming at 11.

Loved the various "neighborhoods" are areas. Huge ship, but had smaller areas to enjoy.

We had a connecting cabin which was wonderful.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

3 out of 5
Try to get a map of the island before leaving the ship. We got off and didn't know where to go and there was a lack of information about the various places off the ship. This was the one place where we felt the numbers of people that were on the ship...things felt more crowded. Lunch on the island only runs from 11:30-1:30 at three venues to lunch was super crowded and had a very limited menu. Plan to stand in line. Also, if you want to snorkel off the beach and not pay for a snorkel excursion, bring your own equipment. We couldn't find places on the island to rent equipment to supplement the equipment that we did bring.
