Review summary

I would not recommend this cruise, there was not enough for the kids to do. Everything was very expensive that wasn't included, not an overall great vacation.

Going again on the Allure in 43 days. There was too much to do! The ship was amazing. We didn't bring children, but it looked like the ones on board were having a good time.

You make what you want it to be this is going to our second time on board we had a great time the first time can't believe there was nothing for the kids to do with so many different things to do and free

This is the second review that said this and I don't understand if it's the same person or what. I know Oasis class ships have a character parade, Adventure Ocean (which my kids loved on Vision so I'd think Allure wold be even better), mini golf, kiddie pool, rock climbing wall, zipline - all free. The only way I'd think anyone could say there wasn't much for the kids is if the kids are so addicted to video games they don't want to do anything else or if they're toddlers or infants. No cruiseline has much for toddlers or infants.

Sooooo much for everyone to do on this ship, so much! What exactly are you looking for the kids to do?

We had a $300 bill walking off today - because I bought a $200 purse and we dined at Chops, Giovanni's, Vintages and Sabor (again food was fine but third Oasis trip we decided to try some other options)

Walking off Oasis now, there is a ton of stuff for kids. And you don't have to pay for a thing if you don't choose too. Yes you'll pay for the arcade- that's any cruise line. You'll pay for sofa packages on RCCL, which is $8 a day per kid- still way cheaper than Disneys cruise rate that "includes" soda. Otherwise, adventure ocean, zip line, golf, flow rider etc all included.

Sorry I also disagree. Tons for kids to do as with any other Royal Caribbean ship. Love every minute of it.

Mjyran, there are always different opinions about cruises and that is fine. The best line for kids is (my opinion) Disney. Of the RCCL ships I have been on, Oasis class is easily number two. The Adventure Ocean is a decent size, the kids water area is good, there is Shrek and company ,games on the boardwalk, miniature golf - all are free. There are a lot of trolls on this forum and hope potential cruisers aren't too swayed by just one post.

allure has so many things for the kids to do. 😔

What age were the kids?

What about Adventure Ocean?

I have never sailed RCL but this ship has everything. A compaint that there was not enough time to see everything would make sence but the actual complaints look more like people overwhelmed by sailing and not knowing how to manage through how to say no to upselling. Cruising does not agree with everyone and thats ok. This ship gets all 5's except for the occasional bazaar 1's and 2's which simply isn't fair.

I have been on it twice and one of the times with a kid. This ship is great...depends on what you are looking for. Maybe Carnival or Disney would be better. There are tons of included things on the Allure.

I have not been on this ship, however it is hard to believe there was not enough for kids to do. Even without paying extra. This is like the biggest ship! Or was it nothing that interested the children?
