Review summary

Would not recommend this ship to anyone.

the specialty restaurants where not up to par.

went to guest services we ordered bottled water 2 months before sailing was not in our room on arrival they told me is there policy it is delivered the second day of

the cruise I told them I was seeing a chiropractor and needed my water they

could care less I was told this is our policy(which is poor at best)

The casino could not get my friends points correct and there service was bad.

Also my wife wanted a drink they told her make a left make a right she was appalled the nowone helped her only pointed.

Also in all dining rooms nobody for breakfast came around to refill your coffee

like other ships.

just bad service all around.

I have booked excursions through RC for my trip has anyone booked them through shipmate and how were they also any recommendations for Jamaica?

correia    8 years ago

We will be on allure Aug 21 see you there @nhlcop

Nypd11483    8 years ago

That's around the corner! Have a fantastic trip. We have been on this one. Your in for a real treat

nhlcop77    8 years ago

Thanks for the info from everyone. Going on the Allure at the end of August and can't wait!

Nypd11483    8 years ago

And I agree Norwegian is my second favorite.

Nypd11483    8 years ago

I've been on them all. Nobody beats Royal service. Just my opinion

Travelgirl27    8 years ago

I have been on the Allure 2 times and it is great! RC puts Carnival to shame. If you like quality food and better quality ships and entertainment...stick with RC or Norwegian.

bmac614    8 years ago

That being said. We have been on both carnival and RC. We had equally a blast. Lots to do on both lines. Would not hesitate to travel on either. Food was awesome. But we don't expect 5 star meals in the dining room. We don't pay extra for the specialty restaurants since we have those things here at home.

Why are there so many immature people on these boards. Cry about this, bitch about that..... This op tried to discuss his events on board and somehow it turned into CCL talk and chatter. Captash didn't need to announce his love for carnival. And the others didn't need to bash him for carnival. Grow up!!!!!!!

I've sailed Carnival and will again someday but IMO, the Dream is just a larger ship with more floors of cabins. No extra areas or venues, such as flow rider, ice skating etc. That ship I would avoid. My Allure sailing in Nov is my first Royal cruise. Cannot do any comparisons yet

Captash    8 years ago

*carnival Vista and carnival Dream are great ships. Vista has just recently started sailing. Vista is brand new. Dream, Magic, and Breeze are sister ships. They are alike. I recommend the Vista, Magic, or Liberty. The smaller ones are easier to learn your way around. Bigger ships have more room. All ships have ups and downs.

@i💙cruising I know! It seems like the biggest complainers on here have the worst grammar!!

HappyCruiser21    8 years ago

Is always complaining people that no matter what the cruises offers they will be happy those better stay home

Just got off Allure on May 29. Ate at three specialty restaurants for dinner: 150 Central, Giovanni's Table and Izumi. Food was quite good at all three, service was fast at 150 Central and good at Gio's and Izumi. We were in main dining room for 3 dinners and no complaints about either service or food. Windjammer for last night and no complaints. There are bars everywhere, can't believe anyone would need directions to get to one. Solarium was a disappointment, Solarium doesn't have a real pool that you can swim in and this may sound crazy but it was too hot for me 😓. The flip side is that there were plenty of lounges available, so I must not be the only one that thought so.👑⚓💎➕

Very strange.

lindakerr    8 years ago

Why did you need water because you are seeing a chiropractor ?. I don't really believe your post as I think it is a bit much to say your wife was appalled because someone never showed her the bar ??

rpres07    8 years ago

Wow I'm thankful just to be able to go on cruises! People need to lighten up a little! I've cruised twice with Carnival, once with RC and will sail on Allure in November. I enjoyed both cruise lines equally. But in my opinion, if you can't have a good time on a cruise, even if things aren't perfect (and when are they?), then you should probably stay home.

dhickman57    8 years ago

Some people can't be happy. Got off on the 29th of May. Second time on the ship. Service in the dining room was awesome. Sabor restaurant was great. Relax have fun and I'm sure the service won't be as good as you get at your home, but quit whining.

@fpblack35, last minute cruises? You don't know what you are talking about. Lol You either, rbalsa.

rbalsa    8 years ago

Carnival low end cruise

cruiselover72    8 years ago

We have cruised with royal and never had a problem

correia    8 years ago

I have been on rc and Norwegian never carnival and have no interest in trying them. Rc hands down is my favorite. Going on allure in Aug for second time. I will admit that the service on allure can get a little rough but there is 6000 passengers on it you should expect that but what the ship has to offer its well worth it. Stay on smaller ships and service is much better.

debbmike    8 years ago

Wow. The sequence is way off on this thread.

@fpblack35, did you mean, you "sail" in 2 weeks?

Captash    8 years ago

*know. But maybe they just don't serve food you are into. What carnival cruises have you been on?

Captash    8 years ago

I love Carnival cruises. I've been on two of them. And more will come in the future.

fpblack35    8 years ago

I agree carinival might be for this. Guy lol

Captash    8 years ago

Or next time try carnival. I bet RC is great but try carnival.

fpblack35    8 years ago
