Love the ship experience

Sail Date: June 04, 2015

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Suite

This is a great ship to travel on.  We always come away pleased with it.  Thanks for stopping "Chicago".  It was terrible.  However the musical "Tell Me on a Sunday" was not a good replacement.  The lady who sang had a beautiful voice and would have served us well by giving us a concert rather than the boring musical.  Food service and food in the restaurant was great.  With the increased no. of passengers (6200?), the Windjammer was clogged most of the time during meals.

Ship Quality
It is a great ship
Food and Dining
Loved the restaurant service but is getting difficult to be served in Windjammer with the additional passengers now.
Service and Staff
Baayer, our waiter was excellent. Our cabin person, name unknown was also excellent.
Entertainment
Love all the shows with the exception on "Tell Me on a Sunday".
Onboard Activities
Destinations and Excursions
Had one excursion cancelled. Naples "Ruins of Herculaneum, very disappointing
Cabin / Stateroom
Clean, well done. Looks like some little amenities have disappeared. Chocolates on bed, fruit, memo pad and pen, but that did not take away from a nice cabin. Those were just good memories of the past. I think it would be good to offer one bottle of water each day free.
Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy
long distance to get there and nothing around it
Naples, Italy
Easy to walk into Naples (since excursion was cancelled)
Barcelona, Spain
Easy access to the city
Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands
Loved the city. visiting it without an excursion was great.
Marseille (Provence), France
Lousy location from city and too costly to go into the city. Should have provided a free shuttle.
La Spezia, Italy
Loved the excursion, just wish it was 4 1/2 hours and not 3 1/2 hours.

Tip

Our waiter each evening gave us great advice on where to find breakfast and lunch other than the Windjammer. It worked out very well.
