My husband and I have cruised 16 times, always choosing newer ships (no older than 4 years), and this was by far the most beautiful ship ever. There's soooo much to say about the ship itself that it could take up the entire review, so I'll focus on what I consider to be the most important aspects of Allure. The ship was clean; service was impeccable, especially in the dining room; food was delicious; entertainment/activities were varied and plentiful (a concert by Resurrection, a Journey tribute band was an unexpected and wonderful experience!); boarding and departure, even with more than 6,000 passengers, was efficient and quick. The only "complaint" was that we witnessed a young boy---no older than 12---GAMBLING in the casino,  playing poker on Friday night, and then blackjack on Saturday afternoon. I realize that we were in international waters, BUT, a casino is definitely NOT the place for kids. They are exposed to gambling/ drugs/alcohol/sex early enough....this was NOT the place to possibly  encourage a future addiction. His mother sat next to him, "teaching" him how to play...SHAME ON HER!!! We felt someone from the cruise staff should have spoken with her and had the boy removed from this environment.

Ship Quality
Clean, beautiful, ENORMOUS!!!
Food and Dining
Exceeded our expectations, both in the dining room and in Chops Grille, where we had a special dinner
Service and Staff
Friendly, courteous and efficient
Loved the Journey trbute band, disco night on the Royal Promenande, Dreamworks parade, Aqua show, Karaoke bar, and "Quest"
Children's Programs
Did not utilize, but observed the kids on board having a great time!!!
Onboard Activities
Destinations and Excursions
Have visited these locations in the past: usually avoided Labadee because there was nothing there in the past---this has changed for the BETTER!!! Lots of water activities and the world's longest zip line (over water) make it a fun destination!
Cabin / Stateroom
Nothing out of the ordinary when it comes to balcony cabins
Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida
We usually go to the departure city a day in advance to relax/unwind. Love Fort Lauderdale, but it is very pricey
Labadee (Cruiseline Private Island)
The "new" Labadee is a fun place with a lot to do---or not, if you just want to relax on the beacdh
Falmouth, Jamaica
Not a big fan of Jamaica
Cozumel, Mexico
Lots of shopping, lots of fun activites (we swam with the dolphins!!!)

Make sure to carry a copy of the Cruise Compass with you every day---there's so much to do, it's easy to miss something you'll really enjoy!
