Q: I started sailing in 2018, but this will be my first with Royal. I actually dreamed of sailing on the Allure from my very first cruise and so I'm making it happen in 21 days. After looking through all the dining options, it appears most places charge. There seems to be a whole lot of specialty restaurants.

Answered by price30 on October 25, 2023
A: keep them out of adult areas like bars, clubs and casino. They will have a blast in the kids areas. Royal has the best kids programs at sea. Saw lots of parents letting their kids in adult areas a couple weeks ago.

A: Log into your online Royal Caribbean account. Click on the “Plan My Cruise” button for the sailing. If it’s available for purchase you will see it under “Dining” in the drop down choices. If you don’t see it, check back periodically to see if it b... ecomes available to purchase. If the package is available, I recommend 150 Central Park as the other restaurant to choose. A: You won’t be able to make show reservations until closer to sail date. I’d check the app periodically to see when they show up in the cruise planner to make reservations as early as possible. So that you don’t miss out on the day and time most conven... ient for you. I believe you can make dining reservations as soon as you book your cruise. If you have my time dining, go ahead and make those reservations in the app now. Those too fill up quickly.See More

A: Actually, the second purchase is usually half-off. I’ve purchased the drink package for $49/day when it’s been on sale.
Answered by mgoblue44 on January 19, 2023
A: Usually somewhere around $75-95/ per person per day give or take plus 18% gratuity. Every person over 21 in the stateroom will be required to purchase if 1 person decides to buy one. So you’re looking at somewhere around $1200-1300 for 2 people on a... low end for a 7 day cruise on the Allure.See More

A: Personally I would only purchase excursions locally after I’ve already been to that place via ship’s excursion and felt comfortable venturing out on my own to that same place. Some of them are pretty far away. I wouldn’t want to risk not being able t... o get back to the ship on time. The ship’s excursions will ensure that you will return on time every time. Anything close to port I would definitely try to get a deal on by buying locally.See More

A: We used it on Ovation in October. Great 24 hr service, but it varies - and they have special price discounts if you watch your Cruise Compass. Tip We used was, roll all your clothes tightly, because they charge by what you can fit in the bag. We fit... a LOT in one bag 😁 Enjoy !See More

Q: Does anyone know what the weather is usually for the allure of the seas Rotan and Cozumel cruise at the end of February? Just wondering if it gets cool/cold at all.

A: We have taken cruises the last week of February at least 6 times to the Caribbean. (It is the week my husband has off work every year.) We have needed long pants and sweatshirts one cruise most days and sweatshirts/light jackets on another one. We ha... ve found the ocean to be cooler that time of year as well. We tend to stick to the pools or short ocean swims. We swam with the dolphins once with the kids (and froze). We were also chilly when we tried to snorkel. Now we choose activities that don’t involve extended times in the water.See More
