Wonderful staff, in particular our waiter and assistant waiter at the main dining room. I know that nearly all the staff was friendly and were happiy to make our cruise enjoyable.Be positive and you’ll attract positivity!
Embarkation

We used the Key and also had a junior suite on this cruise, so we were given a comfortable place to sit until they called us to get on the ship.
From the time that we left and locked up our car to get through security at the port was probably 10 to 15 minutes at the most.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

We only ate in the Main Dining Room except for the one night, Day 6 when we did the Chef’s Table on this cruise. We had an excellent waiter and waiter assistant on this cruise. They were the best servers that we have had in our history of sailing with Royal Caribbean! I made sure to mention both of their names in my post-cruise survey. The Chef’s Table was an extremely great experience with having 6 food courses paired wines to bring out the food notes too. We usually had breakfast on the ship in the Windjammer (buffet) which was good and occasionally lunch. They had a large variety of food choices to choose from but it was usually quite crowded each time we visited there.
Onboard Activities

We relaxed while on this cruise using the pool, doing trivia, watching shows in the theater and visited the pub to listen to a wonderful musician on guitar nightly. We also did an all-access tour of the ship on day 6 ( which cost extra) but it was neat to see how everything on the ship ran behind the scenes.
Entertainment

The dancers and singers were good but I wished that they would have had an actual show. The Rock Show seemed to focus on songs from the 60’s and 70’s rather than what I thought would be more closer to the 80’s especially when the music used before was using Def Leppard & Queen!
The ice show was super! The skaters were very good with their showmanship & I enjoyed our seats since we had the Key, where they had seats still available 10 minutes before the show began.
The young man in the pub Duck & Dog was wonderful. We listened to him almost nightly. We did not care for the piano bar guy’s singing especially since on the past 2 sailings, we usually spent our time at this particular venue. In my opinion, he was hard to sing along with if you chose to do so.
Service and Staff

I absolutely loved our waiter and assistant waiter that we had in Main Dining Room on Deck 5. They were amazing and they seemed to make our dinner and dining experience so great! They were the best servers we had in the 3 cruises we have been on! Our room steward also went above and beyond too. He made up our room 2 times a day and also made us a towel animal everyday we were on this cruise! That’s some great attention to detail for us.. I had left some clothes on a chair instead of putting it in my laundry bag and he folded all of the clothes and out them on the chair instead!
Ship Quality

Easy to get around. Enjoy the fact that the ship isn’t super-sized but it was easy to figure out the layout very quickly.
Cabin / Stateroom

This was our first junior suite coming from an interior promadade room the past two 4 day cruises. I would definitely recommend a balcony or suite for any cruise a week long or longer for others if the amount for your vacation allows. I love cruising so I feel that a shorter cruise is a great time to save some money to get a smaller room but I loved our junior suite and look forward to taking another week long or back to back cruise when we can book another junior cruise or even a grand suite for our 5th wedding anniversary cruise in 2025!
It was nice to have extra drawers and areas to hang up items. A bathtub was the game changer and it’s nice to have a roomier area to take a shower besides the “plastic coffin “!
Ship tip
Remember to check where your room is and choose a room that has cruise rooms all around it. Our room was below the pool deck but it was by the hot tubs above us which was not bad at all. It was closed at night by the time we returned from dinner, show and a night drink at the pub. I suggest the Key if you want to easily move on and off the ship.
Easy to get off the ship. Had the Key Disembarkation and it was nice that we were one of the first groups allowed off the ship. They took you around the huge group of numbers that were still in line. Ten minutes and we were through customs and picking up our luggage from the Key area.
