If you are a 1st time cruiser, or first few times cruiser. The sailing is always a wonderful time no matter what ship it is. For my wife and I, we have been on quite a few cruises and tend to expect more than the first time we went, and we realize this. We just enjoy what is happening in the moment and meet many friendly people.

Food and Dining

The main dining room has changed its menu since last year. Selections were a little different. One night was prime rib which was excellent. Other than that, the buffet would have suited me for dinner just as well. We have been on many cruises and eaten at "Chops" steakhouse. this time for a change, we ordered the Lobster... Big mistake for both of us. The presentation of the lobster was not appetite appealing to my wife and I, and the preparation was slathered in a buttery sauce that did not sit well with either of us... again... the buffet would have been better and wasted the extra expense for eating at Chops.
Onboard Activities

Ventilation must be better on this ship. The casino was not as smokey as in the past but still wreaked is some places that filtered up my nose and into my clothes. YUK.
Entertainment

Stage shows excellent. The ice show is the best.

Ship tip
Read about the ship before your cruise so you can have an idea of what to expect and do.
I have been to Galveston many times even before cruising. Now after seeing the clear blue water at the different ports. I cannot stand the Galveston beach.
Again, there is waiting which is expected. Everyone is a little "down" because the cruise is now over and ready to leave the ship and get home. I always get the strange feeling of "welcome aboard" for a few days, and then "now get off" on disembarkation day. Ha, Ha.
