Enjoyable cruise as always with RCCL but the dining room fare could take a small step up.

Review summary

Given that all cruise lines are still struggling to make up lost ground from the pandemic, cruising on Adventure of the Seas was still a most enjoyable experience.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very efficient and fast.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The service was excellent as usual, but it seemed the selection and quality of food, in general declined a bit compared to previous cruises.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Mostly relaxed on this one: drinks in the hot tub and by the pool, dancing and listening to music in the bars. The tribute to veterans and first responders was memorable and appreciated. The cruse director, Tanya, was great.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Loved the ice show and theater, "Can't Stop the Rock", but the duet of "The Prayer" at the top tier welcome event by two performers was stunning, bringing tears to our eyes.

Children's Programs

No children with us

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Notwithstanding apparent efforts by RCCL to make up for lost time and revenue, the crew was outstanding as usual.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Excellent. Just what we are used to from RCCL

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very comfortable and perfectely situated.

Ship tip

Pay attention to departure times when off the ship. There were a few stragglers who almost and maybe should have missed the ship.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

5 out of 5
Been there before. We live in Texas. It's a nice town with plenty to do

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

5 out of 5
Although the port is designed specifically for cruise ship passengers, with shopping and bars right off the ship, there are excursions avaiable. We really enjoyed the Salsa Experience, guacamole and salsa preparation, salsa dance lessons, tequila tasting, and a little time at the beach.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
We just did the beach at a resort. It was relaxing which was what we were looking for. My wife did find a great bargain on a knit top at one of the shops which made her day

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
It took longer than embarkation, but that's understandable.
