Adventure of the Seas is a great ship with a great crew. Captain Barry led an entertaining cruise from the bridge. Tornado Tanya kept us entertained! I would recommend this ship.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Easy parking (pre-pay it, it's easier), easy signage, check in was quick, and security was easy. Much better experience than my two cruises from Miami.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

MDR in this ship was massive! It was beautiful, the food was plentiful, and the waitstaff was good. They were a bit overworked (they had my table, plus another 3-top, 6-top, then a large group of 10 or 12). Should've split that up better, but overall, it was a good experience.
Main Dining Room

MDR was beautiful! It was 3 decks high, and it was a great experience.
Windjammer Marketplace

Food was plenty, it was very clean. The staff was attentive.
Onboard Activities

Belly Flop competition is a MUST! I enjoyed watching that. We had a Crown and Anchor show that was good as well.
General Store
5 out of 5
Great place to shop for booze. Prices on some things were much lower than on land, some were higher, so know your prices. Also, all booze purchased onboard is held until the last night of the cruise.
Logo Souvenir Shop
4 out of 5
Logo shop was alright. They didn't have near the selection of other ships.
Entertainment

Went to the Rock show on board. It was overall good. I didn't feel it was a 'history of rock music' show. I didn't know many of the songs, but it was put together well, and it was a blast! The orchestra onboard did a great job at the Honor the Veterans show in the Promenade.
Lyric Theatre
5 out of 5
Theatre was amazing! A beautiful venue. Shows were great, and the sound in that theatre was grand.
Children's Programs
Travelled solo.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The service on the ship was great. Room steward was attentive. I had ice twice per day. All ship workers said hello as I passed by, no matter if I was on my deck or not.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Ship was extremely clean. The layout and design were a bit odd. Decks 2 and 3 were separated by the ice rink, so, in order to go from front to back, you had to go up to deck 4 or above to cross. Otherwise, everything was easy to find.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Cabin was nice sized. Window was large. It did have an interesting smell after the ship was fueled, and it seemed to last most of the cruise. Bathroom was typical for a cruise ship. Shower was amazing!
Ship tip
Go up to the helipad for sailaway! Go outside on Deck 4, go forward, up the steps, then you'll find it.
Cozumel is a nice port. A bit of a maze, but I was able to find what I wanted. Store staff were nice, but the people outside pulling you into stores is a bit much. Margaritaville was great!
Thanks for the insight on the ship. My other half and I will be on board in March and it's out first cruise on a Royal Caribbean ship, and we're looking forward to it!
