Review summary

Perhaps it is because my wife and I have been on many cruises, that we expect less issues with our cabin such as flooded balcony and flooded men's restroom, cold food served in the main dining area. A "No smoking in the Casino" would be a BIG improvement. I know smokers have to smoke, but why sit right next to me, light up, then hold the cig almost under MY nose? Cig smoke is nasty.

I know it rained the first night and day, however, the water did not drain at all from our balcony suite. 2" of standing water that maintenance had to clear out - twice. I assume it was fresh water and not sewage. One of the men's restrooms by the main dining room had water standing in it. I walked in with my sandals on and went back to my stateroom and showered. I don't know what type of water that was either. I notified the staff.

I see quite a few comments on cold food. I know this is a lot about expectations. I just don't think I ever expect to get piping hot food in the main dining room. Other than soups, this has been my experience on both the mainstream and premium lines. Probably the most temperate was on the old rust bucket Carnival triumph, so I'm sure ship size has a lot to do with this.

Appreciate your. Sad about the water issues. I think “seasoned” cruises are the ones who are most disappointed in the cutbacks as we know what it “should be”. Glad you managed to enjoy your cruise in spite of the hiccups.
