Review summary

I chose this cruise based on the departure point- I did not have to fly to get there, plus the itinerary. I did find it overcrowded, and there were not enough amenities for the cruisers to enjoy. It was limited and on a first come, first serve basis. I was on the boat 5 of a 9 day cruise, so was hoping to enjoy the pools, etc. I also got sick and tested positive for Covid on my first day home.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining was excellent- staff was attentive. Buffet was good, but has similar selections each day.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
There were 3 small pools for 3,000 people to share. Max of 18 people per pool. The heat index was 100 degrees and very limited lounge chairs in the shade. The Mini golf was always taken up by families and the florider and tube slide had long lines.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The ice skating show was good, but it was first come first serve for the shows so didn’t get to see them.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Waiters were excellent at dinner. I did not have the room cleaned daily to avoid any Covid contamination but I got Covid anyway.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship was easy to navigate - signage was good and I was able to download their app where I could see a map of every level of the boat. I did not see any protocols for people reentering the ship after stopping at a port. No mask required or temperature check, etc.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
For a balcony room I felt it was rather tight. I have sailed on other cruise lines and their balcony rooms were bigger.

Ship tip

If you have kids there will be a lot of activities to keep them busy. If you are a couple there are only a few pools to go to and they hold a limited amount of people.

I have been here before and this port is a little more run down than before.
