Unfortunate that you had this type of experience. We recently did a back to back on the Adventure of the Seas as well as cruises late last year and everything was excellent. I have a shell fish allergy and the staff went above and beyond to ensure I was safe and had the food items I wanted at a particular meal at the Windjammer. We usually ate in the same area and got to know some of the crew members very well. If there was any doubt about the safety of dish for me, they would prepare it separately and bring it to our table. We even had Chef Kennedy bring out one of the meals and to assure us that they would do everything necessary to keep the meals safe no matter where we ate on the ship. Overall an excellent experience and of course Mr. Chevalier and his hotel staff are outstanding.

Sounds like cruising isn’t for you. Most people love it, including others who reviewed the same cruise, but it’s not for everyone.
