We enjoyed our 4 day cruise. It was a relaxing and inexpensive mini vacation.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
We arrived at our scheduled time and were able to get on the ship without much wait or hassle. It wasn't quite as easy as the Royal Caribbean ports in Florida (we took cruises from 3 different ports in Florida in the last 6 months). Florida ports were able to confirm everything on their iPad without having to wait to go up to a counter.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
This ship did not carry Coke Zero, so we were disappointed to find Diet Coke instead as our welcome beverage. Fortunately we brought some Coke Zero with us and were able to enjoy our own beverages. Food in the main dining room is pretty good, but there are a few entrees that could have been better. We loved the pizza in the Cafe Promenade.
Onboard Activities

We hung out in the Solarium and loved all the shaded hot tub areas and open pool deck. The Sexiest Man contest was the best ever with one contestant doing a full strip from shoes, shirt and pants to bathing suit!
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The headliner show, "Oh What a Night" was fabulous! I wasn't sure what to expect when I went, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The performers were amazing, energetic, and witty.
Children's Programs
We did not have any children with us.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our waiters were excellent and fulfilled our every request and need. Our stateroom attendant exchanged our beach towels daily and kept our room nice and clean.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship is older, but well kept and clean.
Cabin / Stateroom

The bed was comfortable but when the two beds are put together in the middle, there isn't enough room to walk around the side without running into the couch. I just crawled straight onto the end of the bed to get on and off.
Ship tip
Don't miss the Veteran's commemoration in the promenade. We thoroughly enjoyed it and they even served cake! Also don't miss the Crown & Anchor Event in the Lyric theater. They served mimosas and fruit punch cocktails during the event.
We did not do any excursions or sight-seeing in Galveston. The water was a muddy brown and the sail-away doesn't offer much in the way of beauty. Sailing out of Florida is much prettier.
We used Resortforaday.com to spend the day at Iberostar Cozumel. The resort was beautiful with a large pool, swim-up bar and shaded beach area. It wasn't crowded at all and we enjoyed the food and drinks.
We chose the self-assist option and left the boat at 7:30 a.m. We were on Deck 9 and didn't have any problem getting an elevator, but saw many people waiting on lower floors as our elevator was already full.
