Sail date: November 12, 2021

Ship: Adventure of the Seas

Traveled as: Family (older children)

Review summary

A beautiful ship and fun ports made for a great cruise. Royal Caribbean has activities not found on Carnival but Carnival has much better dining options on any of their ships.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Main dining room had our dining time wrong and couldn't fix it. The buffet was crowded with tables that couldn't be used and was closed for dinner. No Mexican food anywhere.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I enjoyed the shows, ice skating, climbing wall, FlowRider, and pools.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Shows were good. Plenty of live music around the ship.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Staff was great except for not being able to fix our dining time.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Adventure of the Seas is the most beautiful of the four ships that I've cruised on.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Our cabin was very nice though the bathroom was on the small side.

Ship tip

Plan on eating in the main dining room every night. The Promenade Cafe is the only other included option.

Plenty to do there at the pier. Mostly everything is open now.

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

I loved swimming in the pool there at the port. It's a beautiful port with plenty of shopping, bars, and restaurants.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarking was very smooth.
