Review summary

We were told to book our air by our travel agent at cheap the day of the cruise due to they will fly us to the next port, Labadee, Haiti, if we miss the ship. They could not get us to that port due to their is not an airport there so we were flown to San Juan. We missed 3 days of our cruise and had to spend 3 days at airports and hotels in Houston, Ft Lauderdale, & San Juan. We were also told our food and hotel and any other expenses would be covered by our Travel agent at cheap , but when we called the emergency care, we were told repeatedly, the only things that are covered were hotel and flight tickets. We had to pay for our food, taxi's, Uber, tips for our bags and other fee's at hotels and checked baggage for each flight. We booked excursions with cheap ahead of time thinking they were with Royal Caribbean and the directions of finding the proper place to meet for them was extremely difficult. No signs or people on docks to give directions missed the excursion shuttle and got to Sea Trek at Coral World at least an hour late so didn't get to see everything there. The excursion at St Maarten was riding an ATV for 4 hours in the pouring rain around the island. The majority of the entertainment was very disappointing on Royal Carribean, Adventure of the Sea, mostly cruise passengers participation. I don't call asking for passengers to pass their bra's or show their underwear entertainment. Nor do I want to be shown sexual positions of 2 guys by passengers as part of my entertainment. Getting up at 4 AM to be at airports by 6 AM missing breakfast at hotels. Once finally got to correct port, with luggage in the sun from 11 AM until the ship was to come in at 1 PM. They let all passengers get off until they start asking other passengers on dock after 2 PM. We were not allowed to get on board even though we had our boarding passes and passports due to our name was not on a list for the security people on the dock. Another hour phone call trying to get our name on the list to get on board the ship, "Adventure of the Seas" They had 3 days to get our names on the list. We didn't get on in Ft Lauderdale, we didn't go to dinner at 8 PM at a table for 8. Did nobody miss us on the ship and someone was making our flight reservations and hotel reservations, but they couldn't put our names on the list to let us on the ship once they got us to San Juan? Sunday, since we did not get on at the beginning in Ft Lauderdale, we get to get up at 4AM due to we have to be the first ones off the ship with all our luggage ourself due to we need to be the first ones through immigration before anyone else can get off the ship. Wouldn't it be good to tell everyone all this information before booking air for the day of the sailing? We called several times to try to get our flights changed in advance due to a bad weather was coming and was told our flight was still on time and it would be a voluntary change and would have to pay an additional fee to make any changes. Unfortunately, our United Flight attendant didn't show up for our flight #5304 from Des Moines, IA on 01/18/20 at 6:05 AM. Then they had to wait for another flight to come in from Chicago, which was delayed due to weather. I could go on and on, but I think you get the picture. Get to the port the day before your ship is leaving no matter what the travel agent says.
