Ship: Adventure of the Seas

Cabin type: Oceanview

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

Highly recommended cruise particularly the Canadian side. A bit odd that we started in Canada then entered the USA (immigration) back to Canada (immigration again) and back to USA (immigration a third time).

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was a breeze. Even in the rain the port was efficient and electronic check in worked perfectly

We walked off the ship and wandered on our own. Had the obligatory lobster roll.

We took a tour to Louisburg fort. The old fort is being restored to its original replete with staff in period costumes

Halifax, Nova Scotia Did not visit port

Due to bad weather the port pilots were unable to board. Port was missed

Bar Harbor, Maine

We just walked off. This is basically a tourist shopping destination that had little culturally to offer. Clean and beautiful though

Portland, Maine

This is not really an exciting port. The dock was very convenient. We just went out for lunch at a small dive for local flavor

Saint John, New Brunswick

Amazing town the excursion we went on focused on the incredible tide changes with the reversing rapids. Mother Nature is awesome. So was the guide
