Review summary

Adventure is a great older ship with some refurbishments. Windjammer is excellent for all your meals. Giovanni’s is a must for a specialty night. Go to anything at the Imperial Lounge and all the shows even the ice skating show was great. Nothing but positive experiences.

Embarkation

Cape Liberty was so easy. We arrived at 9:45 on the ship by 10:45. So early the buffet wasn’t even open yet!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We had a bogo specialty restaurant package. We went to chops on the first night it was good. My steak was a little over done but they didn’t charge us for our sons dinner because he fell asleep at the table. 2nd night Giovanni’s was fantastic. Highly recommend. We did the main dinning room one night and weren’t that thrilled. Food tasted good but came out luke warm. Buffet is 5 stars. Every night is themed. Italian, tex mex, carribean ect. Carribean night was the best and I can’t say enough about the baked goods and the honey butter

Onboard Activities

70’s disco party is a must. Also the imperial lounge is the best. Shout out to Stefan, Feliciano and Lawrence. The crew was hilarious all the events were great. The singers were really great don’t miss their cabaret night at the imperial lounge.

Entertainment

Children's Programs

My 7 yr old went to the kids club every night from 7-10 he didn’t want to leave!

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Most staff was great but coming off a Disney cruise no one went out of their way to make you feel special. They were all super nice though once you did have an interaction.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
I really enjoyed the pool area felt like it never got too crowded with the two pools and adult pool. Also loved the promenade. Felt like they could have vacuumed the state room hallways more. The other areas were clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Always clean from out state room attendant. But even with newer carpet could have used a full upgrade.

Ship tip

Book your my time dinning on the cruise planner before you sail. Yes you can go anytime but it fills up and you may have to wait hours. We booked all nights and the ones we knew we wouldn’t go to we just cancelled on the app that day to free up the space.

Ports of call

Halifax, Nova Scotia

Did an excursion to Peggy’s Cove. Was a long way to get there and then only an hour to look around. Kind of wished we just walked around Halifax and the citadel.

Bar Harbor, Maine

Free bus to Arcadia National park Island explorer. So easy and didn’t need an expensive excursion
