Review summary

The cruise was a great vacation that I'm truly happy I investment in. I felt very secure allowing my daughter to roam freely about the ship to locate me, her friends or food. I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed the ship as much as I did and as long as I did. We will be cruising yearly.

the process was quick and painless

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Unfortunately, we didn't dine at any of the specialty restaurants. The main dining had a five star feel. The food was excellent and the service was remarkable. The Windjammer/buffet had EVERYTHING you could want some days it was hard to decide which restaurant to go to for dinner so we would go to both!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The pools were great, especially the solarium (adults only). I loved the live band that played daily. The family night activities were a lot of fun. We did Karaoke, ice skating, Ice show, family feud and a few others. The night club was fun as well. My first time ever going to a silent party.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I loved the Adele concert. Although it wasn't here the lady did an amazing job and her voice was phenomenal. The comedian was funny as well. I enjoyed his impersonations.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
She LOVED the kids club. She couldn't wait to leave me daily to go hang out with her "new friends". I felt very comfortable and secure with her signing herself in and out, aka "self signer".

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone throughout the entire ship was extremely friendly and eager to help if needed. Alexis was my room attendant. He would always greet us with a smile and have a small conversation whenever he saw us. He would tell me " I saw your daughter come and go quickly". My room was always clean and I love the daily towel animals. The main dining staff gave us great service daily, or the days we went. There were a few times we sat with other people and their dining party and the staff was accommodating to our needs. They even let us try something if we didn't like it they would replace it with something new. Everyone in guest services were always smiling as well and very helpful, even with special circumstances. The ships staff within itself makes me want to cruise again.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Everything about the ship was perfect. It was never untidy in any area. Maps are everywhere indicating location or current things to do.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Everyone always said how small the cabins are on a cruise I was worried. Especially since there was only the two of us and five suitcases. The cabin accommodated all of our luggage and clothing in the closet and drawers. I loved how there was always a cabinet to put something in instead of leaving it in the suitcase. Believe it or not I emptied all five suitcases and everything was placed neatly around the cabin and out of sight. The view was perfect!

Ship tip

Take pictures (from the staff) from the time you get onto the ship. Everytime you see a camera get in front of it and build an everlasting memory. Purchase the digital download picture package. It's worth every penny. Compare it to what you would spend in a photography studio and you come out even except you get a lot more different and professional pics for your money.

It was a nice island with limitations but we enjoyed ourselves. They had these guys come and put on a show for us.

PR was great I love how much they have rebuilt it since the hurricane. The people were great and so was the food.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

I have friends here so we had a personal tour guide to take us everywhere. Love this island.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

We didn't do much in St. Kitts but shop. Some good deals and great pics with monkeys!

Disembarkation

We had to be out of our rooms by 8 a.m. That was understandable due to the next adventure they had to prepare for. The issue was we couldn't leave the ship until 9:30 a.m. Therefore the dining was closed at 8:30 a.m and we were bored waiting to leave the ship. I think they should ask guest what time they would like to leave the ship. I'm sure that might cause confusion as well. I'm sure they have put the best processes in place but it's still inconvenient. After leaving the ship the lines to go to the port to retrieve the luggage was long as well. Once luggage in hand it's a long customs line. We lucked up cause our porter bypassed most of it. Thank you Porter! Again, as a frequent international traveler I'm aware that there isn't much you can do about the long customs lines. Overall it wasn't too bad, it was bearable.

We always carry our own luggage off. That way we are first off of the ship, between 7:30-8:00, & customs is a breeze to go through. We have 2 pieces of luggage apiece so we can handle it ourselves. You have to be able to handle your luggage yourself to in order to participate in the early departure. Once we get through customs we can get a porter if we want to or just take the luggage to the car ourselves. Something to think about but you'll have to take less luggage.
