This was our third Cruise. I booked cabin 1864 18 months in advance. Adventure of the Seas is a gorgeous ship and you must go to the helipad at night to see stars.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Got on Adventure of the Seas by 9:37am. Very fast and efficient.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
We ate at MDR every night. Barry the waiter was great. Six lobsters were fabulous.
However, I feel RCI on first two days serve subpar meals so that you will upgrade to the specialty dining. Each night there was somebody outside the restaurant to offer specialty dining. Asked other guest what they wanted and it was a midnight meal and ice carvings. Anthony the head waiter said RCI has not done that for 10 years.
Drinks we got the refreshment package which man unlimited virgin frozen drinks. That's the best way to do drink.
Schooner Bar
5 out of 5
Keith is great on the piano and gets everybody involved one of the best events on a Adventures of the Seas.Trivia was fine there needs to be a larger place
Windjammer Marketplace
4 out of 5
Food was really good enjoy the eggs benedict and the carb meat however to find a seat is very difficult often had to go to the seats outside of the Windjammer.
Cafe Promenade
5 out of 5
Great for late night pizza

Keith the piano player is so much fun.
Won Disco triva with a perfect score.

We hid ducks on the ship.
Center Ice Rink
3 out of 5
Teen ice skate was unorganized for 1 hour it took us 45 minutes for our child to sign in.
Casino Royale
1 out of 5
Hated the casino as long as RCI allow smoking this is a No-go Zone.

Journey cover band was good enough to see twice. Adele turned out to be way better than I expected.
Adult karaoke was taken over by teens every single night.
Blankety-blank game show was lame.

5 out of 5
The quest is worth doing it was the best of vent of the sailing.

4 out of 5

Children's Programs
2 out of 5
My 12 year old daughter looked into the Teens Club and found nothing happening. Took to the last two days before she met some friends. Tried to do the ice skating but it took 45 minutes to sign up and was left with 15 minutes. Complained to guest services and they said it was Club activity not ice skating activity.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Susan on Deck 12 our room attendant was fantastic she made three towel animals. We talked about her home life in Nicaragua.
Barry and Idge we're punctual and made sure our dinners were exactly what we wanted. We would always order one main meal and then something to try.
Starbucks IPut would remember your order and your name every single time you showed up.
Roque at the Schooner bar made sure every drink was to our liking.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
A must-do on all Voyager classes is go to the heliport and see more stars than you ever have in your life.
HATE The Casino as long as RCI allows smoking casinos are no-go Zone. Smoking smells were permeating to the Schooner bar and the wine bar. Unacceptable.
Adventures of the Seas is in great shape.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Cabin 1864 is on deck 12 with 5 Panoramic windows compared to 2 panoramic windows in the other cabins. There is ONLY 1 cabin like this. On the starboard side it's ADA compliant. Cabin 1864 is almost the size of suite.
Sleeps 3 to 4 guest with a pull out couch. One of the pull outs can be put beside the panoramic window.
View is 5 Panoramic windows looking to the Port side and towards the Captains bridge.
Cabin 1864 is twice the size of the other cabins in this area. Bring a power cord.
Location is deck 12 forward above the Captains bridge near the Spa. Secluded entry to area. Near the elevators. Easy to walk to all locations bypass all congestion walking on deck 12.
Closest cabins to the Solarium adult area. Highest cabins on the Adventure of the Seas.
Cleanliness cabin attendant Susan from Nicaragua was perfect made 3 animal towels for us. Complimentary champagne.
I booked Cabin 1864 over 18 months in advance knowing how difficult it would be to get this cabin. It's not a suite but it is the size of a suite.
Hints all Royal Caribbean Voyager Class have this cabin. Also a Helipad to see more stars than you ever seen at night.
Cabin 1864 is the best cabin our family will ever have.
Cabin 1864 is PERFECT & MAGICAL.
Seven nights Western March 23rd 2019.
Ship tip
Go to the helicopter pad during sail away. At night there are more stars than you've ever seen.
Falmouth Port is owned by RCI. Very pretty however still trying to sell you diamonds. Walked around for an hour then got back on adventure and played on the ship.
Costa Maya is expensive went to Calico Jacks had the best drink of the whole trip a Cayman colada. Prices are not cheap here. Did a Waverunner for 30 minutes $65.
Excursion to Chitzen Itza by RCI. Regimented and very organized however you will only get an hour and a half on site. Ferry boat leaves from the dock beside your ship. At no time does the ferry go straight it is always tilted. Van ride to Chichen Itza. Headset to listen to tour guide while you take pictures and a IPad to see how the Mayan ruins were built.
Tour is worth doing once but I would do it if I was staying in Cozumel for a week.
Hi. I will be on this ship in June. I requested a panoramic view and I was given the other room just like the one you recently were in. I have two children. Is the room big enough for 4?
Awesome review, thank you! Sailing on Adventure in a few weeks, our third cruise but first with Royal Caribbean. Super excited about this ship, and I can't wait to star game from the helipad, thanks for the tip!!
We are headed on her next March. So you are having a great time? We have only sailed on Carnival and can't wait to go on this ship. Any negative parts?
