Review summary

As I have mentioned before the Adventure of the Seas is a perfect sized ship. I have been on the larger ships and they are not for me. This was my 13th cruise, all with Royal Caribbean and I have not plans to 'jump ship' except to maybe to try a Celebrity/

Fast, process. I don't think we stopped walking till we got to the desk to check in. Then not even 5 mon later on our way to she ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
All of the food venues were great. We had at least one meal at all of the restaurants except Izumi and Giovanni"s Table. Nothing could make it better!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We did the 3 art auctions, the nightly shows, the 2 adult comedy shows, Quest. Among other things.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The singers, dancers and all of the mucisians were very professional.

Children's Programs

We did not take any children.

Service and Staff

From the waiters we received excellent serice and everytime we went to dinner they would remember what we drank and had them ready for us. Our room steward wes

Ship Quality

I love the Adventure of the Seas and ships of that size. Every venue was very clean. We had taken the All Access Tour and not surprised one bit when we went to the galley and found the kitchen sparkling clean, as were all the other usually unseen areas of the ship

Cabin / Stateroom

Our room was very comfortable for the 2 of us and very clean. The balcony was a comfortable size too. The bed was so comfortable we wanted to bring it home!

Ship tip

This tip is for ANY cruiser. Bring an air freshner you can sit in the bathroom. Too much humidity makes it a little funky after a few days. I did bring one but forgot about putting it out till the last few days.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

We arrived the afternoon before our cruise and found a restaurant a short taxi ride from our hotel the Best Western on Stirling Rd.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
We enjoyed our stay on Labadee very much. We just got loungers and layed under a tree and read and napped.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

I had been to this city many times but is always exciting to visit again. Did not notice any lingering damage frim hurricane Maria a couple of years ago/

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

We explored the shopping area by ourselves then got a taxi service who was offering a tour of the whole island. I would definitly recommend doing this. The more people you can gather the cheaper it is. Our driver took us to all the places a tourist would have on their list.

Disembarkation

Fastest yet. We carried off our luggage so we didn't have to wait for a specific color/group. again, we never stopped walking. Even in line for the customs agent we didn't have to wait more than a minute. I cannot say it was that way all morning but for us that is the way it was.

I will definitely look into Celebrity for a future cruise.

If you like Royal, you will like Celebrity. Both are owned by the same company. Been on both, love both!
