Review summary

This was a very disappointing experience. I have cruised with Royal Caribbean multiple times but I guess a lot has changed since my last time about six years ago. It is understood that Royal Caribbean is in business to make money but sacrificing service and comfort to their passengers should not be a way to make up for their operating cost. Watering down the liquor is really "cheesy". It looks like they have cut down in staff as everybody seems stressed and this is reflected on their interaction with the passengers . Cutting down on valued entertainment is a big lost for the passengers. One gets constantly "pushed" into different ways to spend money on board, (I understand marketing, but this is something else).

One of Royal Caribbean's best entertainment item were the shows. There was only an ice skating show, which was amateur at best.

Service and Staff

Most of the staff seems to be under stressed. For the most part; they were not as friendly as you would expect them to be. Rolling eyes, rushing me while taking my request plus sometimes not acknowledging one' presence were a few of the experiences I had onboard

Ship Quality

The ship is old and it shows it. The amount of visible corrosion is too much. Certain cosmetic finishes and other items are in need of replacement, (not only try to cover it with a coat of paint).

Cabin / Stateroom

For the amount of money that it cost; the cabin should had been in top shape. The wear and tear of furniture is noticeable and the air condition did not work properly even after a visit from maintenance

We were on Aug 10-17. We found the rooms to be really nice! All new carpeting, curtains, and furniture! The staff was really great! They do push a lot of the extra pay things, but a simple no thank you will suffice.

When did you cruise? I was on AOS 3rd - 10th August. There were shows nearly every night - we went to five different shows in seven days. Ship was beautifully presented, didn’t see any wear and tear at all. The crew could not have been nicer or more helpful during our cruise. I don’t think drinks were watered down - you can watch the bar tenders making them. Nobody pushed me into spending money. Not sure you were on the same ship as me!

We were just on her last week. She was beautiful, we loved the food, the crew was great, and there were shows every night.

This dude was probably on prior to the refurb, same as I was in 2017, it was pretty bad in our stateroom balcony on deck 8 at the time, I’ve heard it’s pretty nice since they were able to finish the drydock

We were on the adventure last March after refurbishment and respectfully disagree. The ship was in great shape and the crew were extremely pleasant.

And some have a chip on their shoulders too. That ship was in for a drydock refurbing 6 months ago. I doubt it was as bad as claimed.
