As a Diamond Plus cruiser with Royal Caribbean, I was once again reminded of why I am loyal to Royal. They took care of everything necessary to make this another pleasant vacation. I had a few requests for the cabin attendant, and he took care of them immediately. I encountered crew members that I had met on other ships and they remembered me by name. It was like having friends on board.

I have to thank Royal Caribbean for their concern when it was discovered that my flight into San Juan was going to be four hours late. United Airlines delayed the flight and gave an incorrect explanation, telling us that our flight would arrive in 30 minutes for four hours. We would be landing a half hour after the ship was scheduled to sail. We were certain the ship would be gone. When we arrived at baggage claim, there was a representative of Royal waiting for us to claim our bags. They rushed us to a waiting bus and sped off to the port. They expedited our check-in and I was on the ship in 10 minutes. Our vacation could have been ruined, but Royal took care of us.

As always, the food and service in the main dining room was excellent for breakfast, dinner, and lunch when it was available. On the days I went to the Windjammer for lunch, I was very pleased with the selection and quality of the food.

My cabin was very roomy and well-furnished. It had a large bathroom, balcony and walk-in closet.
I took a bus tour. There is still much destruction from Hurricane Maria. But they are doing their best to get back up and running. I have had very enjoyable experiences on St. Maarten in the past—especially the airport beach. I wish them a speedy recovery.
