Review summary

After sailing Adventure last year, we were expecting much of the same. Instead, the RC representative I spoke with prior to boarding was extremely rude and was over talking me and wanted to argue. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful to say the least. On board we experienced obnoxious children in abundance running freely throughout the ship unsupervised, Many passengers were pushy and rude, a lit cigarette landed on our balcony while we were having coffee in the morning, not once was our picture taken in the Dining room, the picture representative at the photo desk was extremely rude, although our room attendant was very nice, he was rarely seen, the last night of our sail we noticed our bed coverings were dirty and stained NOT by us, we were only escorted to our table twice then told "you know where your table is" and the last night at sea people were very loud the entire night and a large group of people at 3:30 am chanting "Puerto Rico" over and over up and down the stairs. I am certain there is more that I am forgetting. At this point, we are looking into other cruise lines as we paid a good amount of money for this trip and got less than a desirable experience. Very disappointed of the ship experience this year.

Embarkation

Boarding was simple and painless. Not bad at all.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
I found the food was better than last year. Drinks were decent as well.

Sky Bar

5 out of 5

WE loved Jerson! He made the best drinks and was very friendly.

Main Dining Room

4 out of 5

Our staff was friendly and attentive.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Our group loved the addition of the water slide as well as the Surf Rider.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
I felt the entertainment lacked this year. Not as much and not as good.

Children's Programs

We didn't bring children aboard.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The waiters were attentive and friendly. We rarely saw our room attendant but he was very nice. I do not believe he spoke or understood much English. The photo attendant at the counter was extremely short and snotty. We never even got a Group dining picture taken of our group the entire time.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
We really like the Adventure of the Seas. Easy to get around and always seems clean or is being cleaned. Our balcony was very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Very small cabins but it works for as little time is spent in there.

Ship tip

We heard this is the last year the Adventure will sail the Caribbean. It is going to be moved North. This was our second sail on this ship and sad to see her go but I am sure there is something good in store.

Ports of call

Basseterre, St. Kitts

5 out of 5
I love this quaint Island.

St. John's, Antigua

4 out of 5
St. Johns Antigua has much to see. Too much for 1 day. always nice to come back and see something different.

Fort-De-France, Martinique

2 out of 5
Not a big fan of Martinique. Language barrier and beach was just ok. The vendors near the ship were very friendly though and had nice hand made items.

Castries, St. Lucia

5 out of 5
This is another great island to explore. The banana farms, rain forest and botanical gardens are amazing. We hired a driver for this day. We went to Marigot Bay and although nice, I think it is a bit over-rated.

Bridgetown, Barbados

5 out of 5
What can I say. This place is paradise. They have strict security and we went snorkeling over the shipwrecks and spent the rest of the day at Pirates Cove. I highly recommend it. It's a stunning beach with tiki huts, hammocks and picnic tables. A great bar as well.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Getting off the ship is never an issue but getting out of customs is a challenge. We always use a porter, it's worth the money.

People don't contain their children and ruin vacation for others without kids or with well behaved ones!
