Review summary

Not happy that this is called a 7 day cruise is false. We board at 4PM and set sail at 8:30PM and leave the ship at 11:AM. That's not 7 days. My nieces two children lost their large cups and when she went to guest services they wanted to charge he $10 for the second cup. She spent a lot of money for this cruise and got very upset when the person argued with her to pay the $10. When she asked to speak to a supervisor he stopped his his foot and told her I'm all you got! Really! Then when she said she wasn't paying the money he said well I don't know what to tell u go to the bar and speak to someone over there Really? She told him she went back to the dinning room to look for the cups n they were not there he didn't seem to care about that until a crowd started to gather and told her I asked you that before you started screaming at me. Not true he never asked her that. I know all of this because I was there to witness the whole event. Super bad customer service. Don't know his name but know he is from Brazil.

Embarkation

My embarkment was fairly quick and painless.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The dinning areas were pretty clean, variety of food was good, line for eggs in the mornings were wayyyy to long. There should have been at least 2 cooks preparing eggs. I also felt a bit uncomfortable when it was close to switching from breakfast to lunch that food was taken away to early.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

The pool was too crowded not enough seating

Service and Staff

Mario was our waiter for my time dining and did his best to please us! What was great is that he remembered all 11 people name in my family! Totally awesome!! Sorry but his assistant was not as good as him and Mario had to make up for his errors. What was so appreciated by my family was the last 3 night we had dinner in the dinning room was the manager can't remember his name with Mario surprised us w/ 3 days of West Indian food! That was a huge treat!! We loved it. Dennis who was our stewert was also excellent! He also knew everyone's name in my party! I have no complaints about Dennis! Both my sister n I asked for extra pillows and be didn't blink an eye and later in the evening they were in our room. I can't tell you how the little things go so far with me and my family.

Ship Quality

Yes I felt like the common areas were pretty clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

This was my first cruise I need sunlight. It was difficult for me to get used to not having any sunlight in my room and the shower was too small. But overall my room and bathroom were clean.

Ship tip

Again, my first cruise so all I can say is that ship is huge!!!

Bridgetown, Barbados

Another island is another island I would visit again! I went to the Boatyard beach and I loved it! The sand and water were out of a movie! And the fact that it want crowded was the Best!

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
I rated disembarkment low because we had to get up really early and be out of our room by 9 AM with really nowhere to go and wait until our deck was called. Maybe the fact that we had to get out so you can have clean rooms for the next group but it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Get to ship early, 11-12 o'clock. Gives you nearly a full day.

It's actually 8 days, 7 nights!!! When my kids were young, if they lost something, I made them take responsibility for it. That's how they learn to take care of their things. Don't blame everyone else for it.

If she spent a "lot of money" for this cruise, she should be able to afford $10 cups. Did she blew off her savings on just this one trip!? And don't get me started on the 7 day cruise thing... a true face-palm moment.

It is by night, but it's also 7 day if u count Saturday. You can get on by noon most likely.

Other than the rude so called supervisor, I hope your experience was good in other areas.

Remember when you travel and things get "lost", not everyone is honest. Unless you put a tracking device on your stuff, it's liable to grow legs.

Should have been more careful.I left a camera behind once and in 5 mins it was gone."my fault".

You didn't have to wait until 4 to board, you could have boarded at 11. But seriously you think EVERY cruise line should call it a 6.75 day cruise? How about a hotel where check in time is 3 pm but you have to vacate your room by 11am? Complain much?

Lesson learned...personnel reaponsibility. I "lost" a washer once. Sears would not replace it, I don't shop there anymore.

You are right, that is why it, like all cruises are sold by the night.
