Review summary

This is our second family cruise and this experience did not disappoint! The customer service is most outstanding, even better than the Carnival cruise. I admire how every one of your staff are appreciative, friendly, helpful and happy! Keep up the great service!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation experience was efficient and perfectly organized! Everyone was friendly and the process to board was seamless! The only thing I didn't care for was when dropping our luggage off in the line just before we entered the building was the gentlemen asked for a tip.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate in the main dining room every night. Our waiter, Delton, and our assistant waiter, Mickell, were top notch and superb in their manner and customer service! We knew after the first dinner we wanted to sit at their table every night so we reserved a table which we had for the entire cruise! We really enjoyed dinner and the food was spectacular! What was most impressed was their attentiveness and customer service! During every meal, Delton, asked each one of us at our table (there were 7 of us in our family) how our meal was and was genuinely interested to make sure we had a good dining experience! Mickell was also top notch and one of our daughters really enjoyed the tricks he showed her at dinner every night! I continue to be amazed at both Delton and Mickell and how they remembered our names and how they remembered our drink selections! if I could give 10 Stars I would!! Another star on this cruise ship was Newence from the Phillipines! He was spectacular!!! He found us every day at the pool! He greeted everyone in our family by name and remembered what drink we were drinking.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We planed miniature golf, we swam in the pools, we soaked in the hot tubs, we used the water slide, our kids played volleyball in the pool with the crew, pool-side activities - dancing, games; comedy shows, karoke, behind the scenes tour of the bridge, kitchen, laundry room - all amazing and my husband who is in the supermarket business was especially impressed with the cleanliness of the kitchen! He kept commenting on how clean the floor drains were! :-) One suggestion for an on board activity - put in a lazy river!!

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The music played by the DJs around the pool was awesome! The band by the pool was just ok. The female comedian was just ok. The cruise staff female who participated in the karoke and other games in the Imperial Lounge was great! I believe she was from Brazil.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I have nothing but superb things to say about the service! Our waiters as I mentioned earlier were just amazing. The room stewards were very friendly and they greeted us by names. Our rooms were always cleaned when we were out of the room and I absolutely love that our towels were always replaced - even 2 times per day.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
For some reason, I found it easier to navigate my way around this ship compared to the Carnival Breeze. I especially liked the interactive board by each elevator and I liked the model-like ships located on every level in multiple locations that showed where locations were on the ship. I also liked how the arrows on the signage by the elevators told where locations were located i.e. Aft with arrows. Most impressive were the hand-washing sinks and Purell dispensers as one enters the Wind Jammer restaurant. Fabulous idea!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Honestly, the mattress was too soft for me as were the pillows. The room, however, was clean, and the size of the room was totally adequate!

Ship tip

Sit at Mickell and Dalton's table! You will be very happy! And ask for Newence, better known on the ship as Doc! Honestly I would also say participate in activities, even if you think they are too late at night. Try new foods which is part of the cruise experience.

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico

3 out of 5
We arrived to Puerto Rico the day before our ship sailed and we really didn't participate in any excursions.

Kralendijk, Bonaire

5 out of 5
Fabulous and windy! The excursions we did in Bonaire was snorkeling which I would highly recommend! We did the Samur Sail and the crew was friendly and helpful!

Willemstad, Curacao

4 out of 5
The island close to the port was pretty! We walked around and did shopping but did not do an excursion.

Oranjestad, Aruba

5 out of 5
This was our favorite destination! We went to Palm Beach and the kids went tubing which they said was a blast! This beach was clean and there was a great restaurant right on the beach and the food was delicious!

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
We took a water taxi to a beach just around the port from where the cruise ship docked. We rented jet skiis and everyone has a blast! The only annoying thing on this beach is the locals try to sell their wares and they stand in front of you on multiple occasions even though you tell them you are not interested.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Perfect and seamless! We exited the ship so easily and going through Customs was a breeze!
