Review summary

Our embarkation was probably the smoothest of any RCL cruise we have taken. From taxi drop-off to onboard ship was no more than 15 minutes. A little problem with disembarking, however the staff quickly assisted in resolving the issue.

Our dining room wait staff was excellent (Edmund & Ekatrina) (Nicole & Sonny). The food at Windjammer was better than expected, although pretty much the same daily with a few new items added. My time dining In the main dining room had excellent menu selections.  Next cruise our goal is to eat in the main dining room nightly. We love the always available Café Promenade coffee and snacks like pizza, mini sandwiches, salads and desserts!

The cruise director, Casey, was outstanding and very entertaining. The entertainment was top notch. The ice show was spectacular as usual!  The comedian/juggler and Quest the adult late night game show was side-splitting, laughing until your jaws ached funny!! Our cabin attendant, Mathew, was the best in our cruise history.

My husband, myself and our friends chose this vacation because of the itinerary. We had never been to any of the islands on this 7 night Southern Caribbean cruise - St. Maarten, Bonaire, Aruba and Curacao. We were not disappointed! We organized our own excursions, with the exception of the Old & New San Juan with airport drop off on return day.  My only complaint is that I wish we had another day on each island to do a tour and do more sightseeing, which at least for St. Maarten, we will be seeing again.  We took advantage of the onboard booking promotion!  St. Maarten (my personal favorite) is the only island that repeats for our next 7 night Southern Caribbean cruise! The landscape/view at St. Maarten is one of paintings and/or postcards, simply breathtaking!

The ship was perfect for our needs. With only 2 days at sea, we relaxed on the pool deck, enjoyed pool side drinks on the days on board. At night, there was plenty to keep us busy - we definitely had fun with Trivia at Schooner Bar and enjoy acoustic entertainment of Julian on the Royal Promenade bar. I have to give a big shoutout to  bartender  Amwar in Boleros!  We really enjoyed the variety of  entertainment bars, lounges and shows!

The ship was very clean, our Promenade stateroom with bay window was perfect and staff friendly and professional.  I sleep with multiple pillows, a request for additional pillows to our cabin attendant Mathew and like magic I had 4 more pillows!!!

Calship: we did My time dining our 2nd week. We reserved a table every evening for 8.30. There was a line for reserved and a waiting line for non reserved. I would advise you to reserve a table to save waiting. You can reserve a table from your stateroom phone on the day.

Awesome review. Cruising on AOS next week, and can't wait. Thank you for taking the time to cover all the bases in your review...just one question: Was it easy to get a table when you did the My-Time Dinning?

We love adventure of the seas too. Not long back from a b2b cruise. Wish it could have gone on forever. The friendliest staff ever, that would bend their backs to help you. Fantastic service..❤
